    19" SKI VEE Project

Well I crashed my little balsa SKI VEE and there wasn't much left, luckily the electronics survived 100%. So I thought I would try foam and fiberglass and see how that works. These are really fun little boats I'm guessing 30 to 35mph I don't have gps so its all a bunch of bull$#*t anyways!!!

Dollar Store foam poster board, it has paper on both sides. a trip in the shower and it peels right off when it gets wet and then its ready to use. I use it to build many things, Rc boats and planes for the most part...

I got a little spare time this afternoon so the boat got 1 layer of 9 ounce twill laid in the strong direction so that's all the bottom needs. I'm gonna have to find some lighter material for the top cuz at this rate she will be too heavy! Already with a transom doubler and the bottom glassed she weights in at 124 grams. The foam plug is 32 grams, that cloth soaks up the resin

How tiny? I have a 12 inch balsa version of this hull I'm not gonna finish... A lil 2030 size motor in this boat would go like a rocket! IDK what you got laying around.

Hi Mike, I wanna try a saw rig. But for now I'm learning to stay upright. I also just bought a revolt 30 and I really like what you did with yours!!! How much shim did you put under strut?

.005" right hand side but I always check with a 3 ft length tubing that fits into the strut. To make sure it is ZERO up and down.

Lots of people there from Chicago LOL It's OK there for me in Feb- March.

My boat does not like the M-545 prop I have but seems all others love it.

My boat likes the M-645 too.

I really think the speed is from my Grim 4s battery.

Buy an Eagle Tree data logger or one of the new ESC's with it so you know what to do next to go faster.

Let me know how you are doing on you boat.

I talk with my friend over in Glendale, AZ all the time.

                              Hi Mike
She just sets there looking really fast,
I'm waiting for the batteries and prop balancer to get here by the 28th hopefully. I got some zippy 2s 5000Mah 40C Lipos, they will be here the 28th and I'll go out to silverbell lake. The local RC club races gas boats there, its a small lake but I think it was created so the gas boats had a place to run...
