The boat arrived here a little over a week ago. It has been a busy month. With a new baby and me having the dreaded norovirus, finding time to run her has been a task. But she finally hit the water. I planned on 12S2P. Running 470's cut to 60mm. But just to be on the safe side the maiden run was 12S1P. She runs just as i thought she would. The lake in my back yard is small. Could not get her up to full speed. Plus did not completely waterproof her as she goes for paint soon. But overall she is a great runner. And I can't even begin to say/describe how beautiful the inside is. When I opened her up I sat on the floor for a good 30 minutes amazed at the quality. Kent, you did a fantastic job buddy. I dropped over 10k on this boat and it was worth every penny. Paint pics and running video to follow in the next 6 weeks or so. And I will update when I get her to our clubs lake and really open her up.

Once again Steve I want to thank you for letting me build this one, and for the kind words and approach. It has by far been the most fun project, and the most complicated! Looking good is one thing, but getting the distribution and components right is another. But I have a feeling we pulled it off? I also do look forward to see the final result and some nice footage of her running (try to keep her under 100 will ya) LOL

Here is one last picture before she shipped.

Yours. Except for this one. I needed long double packs. So I'm trying the Pulse 12S2P packs. I got a great deal on 4 of them.

x470s on the maiden? They say this guy doesn't mess around...
Can't wait to see it Steve. Congrats on yet another awesome boat in the fleet and best of luck with the "2ndmaiden" when you pull the trigger and see what she can do with more room. If you don't have some butterflies in your stomach when you run a 185 you're not human!!!
Did either of you get a chance to weigh her in RTR form?

I learned from you guys. I know you're not a big fan of 2P in any form. I just didnt like how those 3060's killed 12S1P in less than 3 minutes. I was looking for a little longer run time. I do have one hell of a fleet. If I could get Christian and Manny to build me a boat, i'd have one by 4 of the best builders out there.

Nothing wrong with 2p, what's important is that you have a bit of power behind the system, specially the way you travel lol. 10000mah per motor is definetely a good start! Comes at a price of about 8lbs more than 1p but that weight may just be the rescue from a nasty blow over? And she is also set up to run 2p for optimal performance. You can of cause run smaller props and stay on 1p for longer run times.

I run 2P in Lots of boats, as long as it fits and isn't too heavy for the hull. I'm currently building two 185s and both will run 2P per motor. These big hulls are power hungry and quite hard on lipos if you only run 5000mah. You can use 4 x 4000mah 12s lipos as a compromise.

I think Manuel would be happy to build you a boat... That's definitely a cool idea.

Please, Don't laugh at me guys but, how do you get those LEHNER stickers on water cooling jackets...when I buy Lehners they have sticker on motor body, it is probably not removable, at least not possible to use it again if you once remove it..
Or you say to LEHNER when you make the order to put them on water cooling jackets!?!?
                            Please, enlighte me
                            Thanks

I can't speak for Kent, but most of us just remove them from the motor and transfer them to the jacket. Sometimes the corners can peel up a bit, in this case a small piece of clear tape at the ends will keep it in tact.
