I've never installed a rear motor mount. I always use a 6mm mount reinforced with both glass and carbon on the side of the mount. If I ever have a crash where they come loose, I would hate to see the hull.

@ Twisted, give your rear mounts a little knock with a hammer and see if they still in there? 2 drops of epoxy under a thin carbon plate won't really hold up to a 10hp motor.

Thanks Keith, Nata, twissted and iride247 for all input. I value your advices and opinions.
But, I am not going to make a rear motor mounts. Reason? I do not expect crashes with that boat. Keith is really close when points out my driving habits...I will probably never go full speed, I like scale driving, and speeds of up to 120 or 150 kmh are not speeds that are in scale with a 1850 Mystic. That means, I like to watch her drive and crash the waves, jumps the waves and so... I really do not enjoy very high speeds. With me, that the same with everything...RC cars, boats, helicopters...that's just me :)
You know, I have a problem enjoying my boat or a car if it drives faster than I can see it :)

Well, if the crash happens...that will be higher force...just destiny
      But thanks.
I will put a few photos of a still unfinished boat today :)

        My almost finished Mystic 1850.

        Still has to be done:

        finish rudder cable system,
        make an antenna exit,
put in floatation devices in the hull,
        balance props,
finish electric cable routing and receiver box placement

Next time I will show you the interior without this JBS logo carbon motherboard...just have to finish cable routing.
In the top right corners of MGM's you can see two tiny screws...these are for on/off switches which are not yet fixed in because I constantly have to remove and put back the motherboard while I'm working.
Also, next time, I will finish the rudder and show the boat with batteries (6kg of batteries )

PLEASE, don't be very critical with your comments, and bare in mind that I am an amateur, I have very limited acces to CNC-ing, and everything I do is just my way of seeing things. This is only my second build and I've tryed to make it as clean as possible.
              BUt, still not ready.
Just a few more days :)

CG looks very forward, where about is it? Maybe pictures are deceiving... Very nice looking build :-)

                  Nata2,

It is more forward than it would normaly be...more close to 40 than 30 or 35. I've done it the same way on my H&M 1300 Maritimo and it handles just fantastic. After I finished Maritimo I thought I could make the battery trays even more forward.
So now, the JBS is "on the forward side". We will see if I am wrong...maybe I am. But with that speeds...like we saw on the video of your Tag Heuer when the boat just flew and detached itself from the water, I believe in more forward placed CG.
The answer is YES, your eyes are not wrong. It is more forward. The engines are more forward.
In relative ratio, CG is positioned exactly as CG on my H&M Maritimo...it was just copied.
I must admit, I was thinking about this and I decided I will go more forward. Can't wait to see how it handles the water :)

Ok, I have looked at the photos once again...yes it looks more forward on photos than it is...I have photographed it from such angle.
Motor mounts are exactly 47 cm from the transom

I would think that the battery mount would be at the rear of the hull. You can still it it is needed. It will run wet in it's current state. Looks like you spent some quality time on this build.
                      TPpower4050 006.JPG

I mounted mine at the rear on my Zonda hull used carbon strips and a bracket for them to sit on it also beefed up the stuffing tube mount. It's not very clean looking but it works great with the marine epoxy. I still want to add carbon to the stinger mounts and seam tape to the hull.

Thanks for the idea...that can be an option.
We'll see. It is nice to experiment.
I was also looking at my gas boats. I have twin zenoah powered cat and engines are very forward...and even more, gas tanks are forward from them. And gas engines are heavy. So I was taking this in consideration...
                        Thanks for the advice :)

Yamadori, not many are in a position to be critical of your builds so I wouldn't worry so much about the "criticism," out there. I can count on my hand how many guys I would trust building this boat big mhzs built cleanly require amazing precision for the parts to actually work correctly.

I saw Keith bring up the prop direction so looked earlier in the posts I fully agree with Kent on prop direction. Outward spinning props allow for some seriously impressive turning capability in the mystic, I have run outward spinning on mine. So at low speed its awesome, but once you get up to 65-70+ mph the boat tends to ride heavy under throttle and doesn't float over waves and ripples as well also amp draw increases as you can't air the hull out quite as well.

As far as CG goes, as kent said maybe the pic is deceiving and she'll run perfect on the water. I know you're not after crazy top speed but I will say for just messing around at low speed outward spinning is a cool setup.
