Great! Advise from somebody who has never finished or actually run the boat...... And more of the same damn pictures of an unfinished boat.
If you want advise on stickers Alpha is you man, anything else.....
Alpha why don't you actually finish the boat run it then offer some advise based on actual running experience and not youtube videos?
Looking forward to actually seeing your boat finished and running Axel, going on 3 years this January of Alpha posting the same tired old stuff, want to see one of these running!
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

Just as soon as I can start moving around I will be all over my boat. I just had back surgery last week so it may be a few more weeks before I can start. Reinforcing the hull with CF is the first step and a must (strengthening of some kind), unfortunately a labour intensive first step for me! I have everything here ready to go, I just need my body able to follow my mind and I will be set! I am determined to start the build before months end. Axel, your going to have to show these guys that things are happen! I have already built the boat a Huber of times over in my mind while waiting to heal so I expect the build to go smoothly. I really want to have fun with this one and do some crazy stuff with it. The next boat will be all about speed and building light. I see that the OSE store is now carrying the servo adjustable trim tabs. I wish I had of know before I bought them from kintec. They really are a quality unit. They are designed to be water tight. Double oring on the adjustment pushrod and the the thread used for adjustment is a 3 start thread. Super strong, 90 deg of movement will provide more travel then you will ever need. The way its designed a standard size servo is more than enough to power both trim tabs as all the force is on the three start thread when running, almost requires nothing to hold position when running. The servo adjustable drive is a little different, it operates on a Cam for adjustment, the Cam is in an aqward position when the stinger is running flat. It will require a little more thought. Sorry Axel, I will stop here, I am babling on a little to much and this is your build thread! I just got a little excited thinking about things. I am not in a position to start a build thread yet, I don't want to get hounded by starting the thread and then not have anything substantial to put in it. I can't wait to see you start. I have a question though, will you be placing your motors forward in the hull and leaving the back for batteries or will the motors be tight to the back. What would you reccomend I do with my single? I may uspsize the motor to a TP5850 yet. It will fit the motor mount and have. One thing to beware of, I bought the TP5660 (5692) and it was replaced by TP with a new motor, there new design of the 5660. Its now shrunk down to 5672, my $75 motor mount is now to long for the motor! I have no idea why they would do this as it makes many if not most of the nicer motor mounts no good to you! Sorry again for the rambling, the medication makes me do it. Just lying back on the couch and it feels like I am floating! Something good in between the pain!
I look forward to your opinion on motor mounting options. Thanks, jeff

Well Jeff i wish you a fast recovery and if it helps i don´t have a problem wih your thoughts in this tread and i think even the readers enjoy it.
For Motorposition is hard to decide ?
In my Mono 3 raceboats in the past i had the motor far forward.
In my powerboats i placed them far back to keep the flex short and have room for the batteries to play with the COG and spread the weight as far as possible over the kneel to hold the balance point as low as possible.Further i think to control the torque of the motor its better to keep it back.
Only my opinion, but you have to decide.
            Axel

Hey Axel, I was leaning towards the drive in the rear. Just looking for ideas. Alfa sure takes a beating
On here. I love the way he just skips over the big questions like "are you ever going to finish a boat" and just plods along with his ideas and dreams. I am sure one year, hopefully in my lifetime that
he is going to have the longest build thread ever with over 30 boats in it! You just keep doing your thing, though I think you may have some issues about finishing things. I hope you know how to finish things in the bedroom! I am still interested in the decals, I need some time for my bank account to recover as well. The only thing I am good at doing at the moment is hitting the buy button on the internet! This boat is going to be weighed down with all the CF going in this thing. I have been on the servocity website, they have some great stuff there. I have found some options to compensate for the poor Cam positioning on the servo adjustable stinger. Just a few more things to get and then its sticker time! Jeff

What do you think about hull steps, are they well designed or is this a mistake? The hull needs to be reinforced, I think a 150/200 gr/m2 is great, with époxy the weight grows very quickly. 2x6S is what I use with 2x Scorpion 3026 1600kV in a 39'' Rapid deep vee, components are normally hot, Seaking 120A escs work fine. Now putting the same setup in a 50" hull, 35000 RPM unload , Octura X457 props and big outrunner motors (they don' t like high speed), I hope sincerely you will have nice speed and good autonomy. What kind/brand of motors are you running?
                    Regards,

Alfa i am still waiting for the Jpeg files you wanted to send.
She will get 2 layers of CF 200gr/m2 and 1 165gr/m2 normal cloth(Köper) . I don´t care to much on the weight because she weighs now only 2,6Kg.
Motors for the first Test will be T600 1400Kv with 3000Watt and the first run will be with a ordinary Graupner K Prop of 51 which i always use in the beginning.
This hull is not a stepped hull see Foto it´s more unstepped , there are no steps only sprayrails to make the switch in deadrise from front to back easy, like the real P1´s !!
So i think she will act quite similar to a standart Mono but we will see later if my expectations come true.14102013103.jpg

You've got my answer in my post. If you want only JPG files I can make a zip but don' t know if it is possible to attach zip on the forum, I will test.

                        Here is a nice one

hey Axel, the boat looks awesome. The painter did a really nice job. The boat sure has travelled a lot of miles between getting it and sending it to paint and back. I asked alfa about the decals and I don't think he has the ones your looking for. The only ones he had on jpeg were the other advertisement stickers he has on the boat. The fountain ones he bought apparently and does not have them on file. I cant figure the guy out though. The foothills marine center one above should be real helpful, not. He may be able to tell you where he purchased the decals your really looking for, good luck on that. I am really looking forward to seeing things happen! I suppose its not a race though. What voltage will you run the t600 1300kv's at? I cant wait to start mine, hopefully in a few more weeks I will be able to really get at it. I have another boat to finish up putting the flex shaft assembly and rx stuff in first. At least its small and easy to work on the bench with. Good luck and keep the post going!

Foothills is just an exemple of a nice logo
