    FOUNTAIN P1 50" / 127cm Twin Setup Real Building

So guys after a loot of not finished threads I decided to post one which will come to an (happx hopefully) End.
After i found the thread here i bought the Hull.
It said it will take 7 weeks before it arrives .
So i was astonished that i got after 9 days a postcard from Customs that i have to declare some sruff.
So i drove out there and it was the hull.
It was super packed no damage at all.
Arriving at home i immedeately pulld it out.
    Firet thing i noticed
    It was NOT gelcoated!
I looked up the auktion wasent mentionend there : OK
But the finish was ready for Paintjob
So i had to do this time everything opposite

Looking really good. I saw the same post (we chatted there), gladly to see you have moved to a build page!
So, no gel coat. What is the finish like? Is it just primed over fiberglass? It just made me wonder if it was
Clear gel coated. I plan on buying this hull within the next week or so. Please share all your thoughts good, bad or anything in between. Paint looks really sharp, are you basing it on a particular big offshore
boat? What do you think of the top to bottom deck joining and the strength of the upper deck? I really
the boat and would really appreciate any feedback you can give me! I will be following you closely on this one. Thanks a lot and enjoy your build! Jeff

Jeff i don´t know if it was primed direct on the glasfiber but its ready for paint.

Yes it is too light mine will get a thick layer of CF(320g/cm) cloth (400g/cm ) total in upper and bottom deck.

        That is the Original

I will get mine back from the airbrusher on Sept. 10th
he is about 400miles away from me.

        Have fun watching

        Axel

September 10th, so long! I think we could smooth the process over a little and just give the airbrusher
my address. He can send it COD. I think this work work out very well.....for me. Good luck and can't wait to
see the hull. Who knows, I may have mine by then. Jeff

Hey Axel, I was rambling on on the other post and realized I should be talking to you here. I am
Not. Used to this forum stuff yet! Have you worked out what you are going to run? You said you
Had the hull delivered to Germany so I take that's where your at. Hows your pricing compare there to here?
(I am Canadian). I have ended up on many German sites that has absolutely gorgeous hardware although
I can't make heads or tails of what they are describing. I just wonder why we don't see more of it here.
in a twin setup on a mono do you basically need to put the stingers side by side? I have wondered on some
Of the scale builds I have seen with you he drives spaced so far apart how it affects performance. It seems like your leaving more hull in the water with the setup trying to surface drive. (I couldn't figure out how to word the last sentence but I hope you get it) Those thoughts made me decide to run a single and keep it simple. But you can see I have thrown the keep it simple part out the window with going adjustable trim tab/drive. Anyways, just curious as to what your planning to run. Jeff

Jeff i tried some of the things you want to try allready way back and sorry to say no sence in it for FE .
We can balance a boat with the weight and that is firm! By that speed we are running you wont have a chance for adjustments.
I know Canada ,i went as a kid to school in Montreal and Toronto !
Up to last year i was normally 1-2 times a year in Scarborough .
So to my twin ok i am a bit crazy too.
It will be a twin setup first test with 2 Outrunners running on 4S3P5800 . - i just want to try.All say not possible :-)
              Here 2 videos
              1. Apache 58 with 2T600/1400 spinning 51 Graupner Props of a friend of mine. ( He bought the boat from me and took the setup i advised him)

              2. A MHZ Kiton with 2 MHZ-Scorpion 4035/1260 running on 6S2P

So you see the setups work fine. And yes all surface drives.

A lot of hardware i buy from Horr

The 2 Stingers will be only 63mm apart so that i can prop up to max 60mm Prop , but will start as usual by this size with 2 51 Karbon Props.
I hope that at the end running a 6S setup my ABC 2016/3 will work.
But that is all way down from now.

Those setups obviously work! The mhz looks like its got all the power it needs and then some, then some more! I really look forward to seeing your build. I like that your doing your own thing and the hell with what
other people think. I am new to fe boats so I will take all the help incandescent get. I am not going
To change y mind on power trim and tilt. I realize there will be no time for making adjustments
when running, just not possible to do. Then there's the point that once your boat is setup well
There is no need for making adjustments. All this is very true and and perhaps it makes no
Sense to do but I am going to do it and make it work very well! I have been building custom
Machinery all my life and this being my fist big boat build I wanted to do something
different. I realize there is no place for it in racing but I like the idea of being able
to cruze down the lake and adjust the tilt till I am puking a monster roster tail behind
me. Or just being able to trim it till its running s loose as possible or nose it down
In the rough.stuff. its all for s--ts and giggles! Looks like your going to have a power
house on your hands. I just had to stop as it sunk in to what you have planned
And I had to get a calculator. What kv are you planning to run?!

Ws i said Jeff your choice and i understand, just wanted to mention it.
On 4S the Motors have 1970Kv with 2.7Kw output
                  On 6S 1330 - 1400 - 1260 depends wich Motor but i think i will try all 3 .
It won´t be a raceboat but gain is 60+ but only if it stays stable.

Hello Axel, I just received my boat. I have got to say I am very very surprised and happy with it.
You were right, it is ready for paint. Its nicely joined together and the seam has been filled and the
whole boat gone over and then odometer. I can't see anywhere other then filling the vent scoops in that
This requires any work at all! A little carbon fiber inside to stiffen it up and the boat will be good to go! I have surgery next week, its been moved up so I won't be starting a build thread for a couple of months, hopefully
Sooner. Thanks for reccomending the hull! Jeff

                              Hi,
The Apache need more power, I mean more voltage 10S or 12S and 800kV motors. The KITON is much better, the boat is nervous, SCORPION are very good motors
I' ve got the same hull
                              I will run 10S and 2 x 4092-930kV motors

The rudder is an Arrow Shark center mount with T bracket and 2 arms for linkage. Stingers are HOR 1/4" with flex stepped down to 3/16".

3/16" stingers can work but they are really too small looking to the scale of this deep vee.
