All I can say is WOW! I'm highly impressed and quite envious of this project! The hull and design are great, but I'm most impressed with the entire development process. I need to get more in tune with generating designs on CAD. I would love to be able to go from CAD to a CNC'd mold. Would save a lot of time and work.
Looking forward to hearing more about the project and to see how it performs.Darin E. Jordan - Renton, WA

You should look into getting Rhino. It's a fairly cheap CAD program used by almost everyone in the boating industry. It's a surface modeler, instead of parametric like SolidWorks, which makes it a lot easier to form complex shaped hulls. All I can say is WOW! I'm highly impressed and quite envious of this project! Then you just convert your models into .STL format, which most CNC machines can read.Comment

Sorry for the lack of updates lately. I had a rather large change of plans a week ago.
I got offered a job as a Design Engineer for Intrepid Powerboats in Largo, FL. So I've been spending time preparing for the move to Florida from California. Unfortunately the boat is still far from finished. However I think it was a significant factor in getting me the job, so it already served its main purpose well. The remaining work will be done once I find a new space and get settled in. I'll probably be back in an apartment living room.
In case y'all haven't heard of Intrepid, here is their latest beauty...

Well when you get to Florida, get with me. We have a club and a nice lake to run down in Bradenton, it's just south of Largo over the Skyway. I think we would be the closest club to you, here's the link to the club site. http://www.wfmbc.com/Comment

Thanks, the club looks awesome. I'll be in need of some human contact because I don't know anybody in Florida, I'm just moving by myself. And once I get to the hardware part of the build, some live advice will be much appreciated.Well when you get to Florida, get with me.
