    gecko power questions

I have a feigao 380-8L 3616kv that I'd like to run in my little Mhz Gecko hull and I have some Q's - any additional setup advice is welcomed...

Using the factory motor mount, there appears to be no room for cooling...am I screwed if I wanna run this motor with a 27mm prop and 2S?

    Regarding the battery choice - I have a 1350mah 13C pack and a 2050mah 22c pack... the 2050 is a little big/snug/heavy.
The question is, can I get away with running the 1350mah pack, or will this little brushless suck the juice out and give me grief/puff or too little runtime?

The Chinese SSSH motor on 2S 1350mah with a 29mm prop makes the Gecko almost too fast for the hull. I've been using a heavier 1800 mah pack which help it to self-right when flipped, and helps keep it from blowing off the water in the first place. That motor draws about 10 amps with the K29 prop. Motor and ESC are about 110 to 120 degrees after 10 minutes.

With the higher Kv inrunner, a smaller prop is advisable, I doubt cooling will be needed.

      Thanks Dr. Jet!
I am using the Minicat micro strut and flex cable to hopefully improve the hull's capabilities a bit with the brushless. I'm using the electrifly silver series 45A ESC...I believe I'll be needing a pistix, but no biggie.
The shot of your micros in the transmitter cases is really inspiring. Sure, I have big fast boats for racing, but the thought of having something i can take anywhere anytime and run nearly everywhere is really appealing.

In My Gecko, I'm using this cooling jacket with a 380 3600kV motor, 35A Electrifly ESC (modified for water cooling) with Pistix adapter. 31 mm prop.

The Gecko's always a crowd pleaser.

Yes, 2mm , with 2 ballbearings in the aluminium tube on the end.

Is that a statement ? The rudder and the prop are the only STOCK items on this boat, hahaha

Gerwin is it possible to buy the Gecko with flood chamber installed? Or did you make it?

Sorry to jump on your post Ctonez.

I made it, you can't buy one that has one installed.
Neither you can buy one with the step in the hull
