Dilemma is the servo doesnt line up with the rudder bracket. So I either need to go right or left and make a bend. or try to offset the servo and go thru to the near bracket.42" Osprey, 32" Pursuit, 26" Bling Rocket (rescue), Blizzard Rigger, JAE 21FE rigger, Hobby King rigger (RIP)Comment

Good looking motor mount with CF rails.I agree that you can adjust ( bend) the rod.
In post #13 you wondered if the "T" bar is necessary, my question is that does this set up necessitate a longer stuffing tube above the floor? I always thought this particular arrangement is excellent for mono, where the stuffing tube would likely run a bit longer than it is typical in a cat. I was able to have the stuffing tube entry into the hull drilled angled , the FG hull is really strong and holds the tube w/o any worry. That angled hole "grabs" the tube so to speak and I didn't think any additional braces are warranted. I did not drill an elongated hole as is often done on a cat build. I went to some extra but perhaps unnecessary steps to secure the tube by soldering tabs which are "buried" under the JB WELD. The circle of JB WELD is made on the big side to eliminate any floor flex should I need to adjust the tube . I realize that I will never be able to change out the stuffing tube, I don't think the way I run my boats will wear out the tube, and there is always excuse to build another one, lol...

Well I JB Weld the stringers down to the tunnel. I found that I can smooth it out like caulk and it looks nice. It also has the added benefit of forcing JB Weld into the holes.
I did the Properchopper 3/8" brass pass thru for the push rod and bent it up as there was no other way out. My mistake was drilling the hole to low, so Im stuck with a clevis out there. No other option.
For the drive line I put short piece of tubing in to hold my actual stuffing tube. Since Im no longer using teflon I wanted to make this easily replaceable. Of course I didnt glue my o ring down well enough and the epoxy oozed out. Its covered by the servo so not to noticeable.
For the servo I went with the Hobby partz Solar D227 metal gear servo. Its not a fast one but its strong.
Motor is a TP Power 4074 8D and had 2100Kv wrote on it. However their website states 1800kv. I got a Swordfish 200A in their with a 5 cap bank and UBEC.
Still need to tie ESC down, install radio, drill coolant fittings and run them.

You can bring that drive dog out a little I would just run a separate ruddermy youtube videos http://www.youtube.com/user/chris81983?feature=mheeComment

I did. Last two pictures show the rudder mount I made.
I took the dimensions that the offset bracket put it at and replicated it.42" Osprey, 32" Pursuit, 26" Bling Rocket (rescue), Blizzard Rigger, JAE 21FE rigger, Hobby King rigger (RIP)Comment
