Cant believe I missed this thread, too busy I guess. Beautiful work so far Chris. You should think about getting the Schulze 300's or at the very least have the modified 40.160/1's for safeties sake. Nice to see you put the effort into making a nice looking rig. You will need to add weight, she is begging to blow over.Comment

problem with either Schulze is where to get them and especially where to have them serviced with Schulze being out of business at the moment? The 40.161 would work nice on that setup, the YGE160HV is great but could be pretty close to the limit on X457.

Note on the cooling lines, the silicon lines were blowing off so I changed to the nitro fuel line on all my boats, no more problem in years.
Just spread the ends of the fuel line with a pair of needle nose and push them on then zip tie. Works even on non barbed tubing at 90 mph.Last edited by jcald2000; 04-17-2013, 07:06 AM.Comment

Sorry to hear about your Schulze's, I've had my T-120's shut down as well when they got soaked. I sat them in a container with some rice for a couple days and they came out fine, hope you have the same luck!
Hey I almost forgot....take it easy on those YGE 160's, I want them for the 115 lol.HPR 115 - Lenher 2240/7, AS26- 150BL EVO ll esc's 92.3mph

Along with what jcald200 said about the slight lip on the brass tube are the spring clamps that Great Planes sells. 4 different sizes, and they are made for pressurized systems, which is what a water intake line is unless you add a small restrictor and drill it out to reduce flow a bit.Comment

I actually barbed all the brass fittings and now she has no problems Thanks all for the ideas..... today I ran her with the yge 160's and a set of 5014/2 from propshop. She ran very well but water was too rough to really let her go. I will do more testing sometime this week.my youtube videos http://www.youtube.com/user/chris81983?feature=mheeComment
