Thanks I should have everything by mid week to resume the build, wanted to try 150 for the coupler, however was concerned the wall would be to thin on the motor shaft. 130 works good on a single motor application so we shall see.

I haven't posted in a while due to time issues but I'm in the same SW36 conversion. I finally got a chance to test out my setup and all I did was push water with an X440...way too small...i have a NEU1521, hydra 180, 24v 6s4p lipo powering this monster house, and all it did was flare RPM's...the X440 for me was too small. I'm going to try out the nitro prop which i think is above an x450 and hopefully that'll launch me out of the hole!! All i did was churn water. No volume of water being pushed to get the 7.3lb hull on plane... I gotta try repositioning my batteries back a little more too, that might help. I'll try and get some pics when I find my digital camera cause the ESC and motor look bad @$$ in this rig!!! Thanks again OSE for getting all the parts to me in in record speed!!!

ya...the nitro is bad@$$ for sure but i had liberal commy people complaining when i was running it. they saw a little bit of an oil streak and right away i was poluting the water...sheesh...some people...but anyway now they can't complain.

Scrapped this idea. After lining up the shaft, the front motor was about four inches in the air lol. It probably would have been ok in mild chop but the cog was way to high for what I wanted this boat for. Now looking at larger outrunners on higher volts.

Try an S bend in the shaft log. Some of the experts claim less drag on the cable , no whip .

I thought s bends were a no no? that would solve the problem however.
