I am going to run 6s in my cheetah but as a flat pack! It's 6 s but 3s high twice as long! Got a great deal on a pair of them! Don't know how they are configured inside the wrapping but at the price offered I couldn't say no!

Very cool. The cheetah looks to be a sweet hull although mine hasn't seen an ounce of epoxy yet lol. I think I'm going something like 6s1p per side 1400kv 4074 motors. More expensive than a single but I have a lot of parts laying around so should be a cool running heavier boat.
like the cooling line holders. gonna steal that idea
I did a customer's Cheetah with hose holders I made and used silicone waterlines :

When I built one for myself, I went a little further and used aluminum tubing:

Joe at Modelbaupirat in Germany just sent me these samples - nice but easy to home-make

Hi Properchopper, I got my Cheetah from Fightercat with cloth added. First ones apparently had no cloth then Ben added it!(I think) Do you think it needs additional layer in it? I'll be running twins?

I think that when you run twins you have trouble fitting the 6S packs in! All the twins that I have seen have the motors setting where the hump is ... so you lose the clearance to fit them in.

I absolutely love the sound of a twin-motored FE boat, but, with apologies if this ruffles the feathers of twin builder/runners, twins are more complex, expensive, and seem to elicit more tuning and reliability issues than the average single. Both Cheetahs I built, one for a customer and my own, are 4S2P singles with 4082-sized motors and can do an easy 60mph without breaking a sweat. Either can pass the 60mph barrier but I stubbornly refuse to tune up to a faster realm knowing fully well the liabilities in stability and crash damage inflicted there. But, twins are certainly COOL

My Cheetah single (which had a FCR 240A ESC melt some internal solder joint - a known flaw in the ESC manufacture - now with a CC240 and it's rockin')

Yeah Tony nothing like twins. When I was youngster 50 years or so ago friends of our had a 16ft(?) Cat painted pink homemade with twin 65 mercs hung on the back. It had a lot of cool factor back than. Hand made I have been in love with twins ever since! Hence my Twin Jolly that I love but doesn't turn well, My twin MM Outboard, twin super cat and now twin Cheetah!

Fortunately I have a little play money every month as I don't drink or chase the women anymore so my hobby wins!
