Hey is the picture before or after you did your first run ?
Also, If it is after the run that you did,
Did you happen to clean up the the grease spray at the coupler and stuff tube before you took the picture ?

This is after the first run; I haven't done much cleaning of it, but I did just degrease the drive-line.

Ok that is why it is so clean,
Dose the flex shaft feel nice a free to turn with your finger at the prop shaft,
If you loosen the coupler set screw for the motor shaft ?

Yeah it does now; the prop came loose when I ran in. I took it all apart and re-entered the motor and its mount and everything. I want to take all that wood out and put in a firm motor mount and servo mount, but I'm thinking that'll be a major job so I'll use it as is for now.

How does one put in a motor mount in an empty hull without drilling holes in the fiberglass?

Also in the picture I see one 2s 40 80c 7600mah lipo pack,
Is that the pack that you tested it with for your first run ?

                Ok good,
I am just trying to look out of the box to help if I can.

You just need to clean it good where you think you want to put something,
And then sand the area with 80 grit sand paper and also sand the mount to,
Then you can do a temp fit with a little c a glue.
If all looks good than mix up some epoxy and do all around the mount,
But before you mix up the epoxy. Tape off 1/4" around the mount for a nice clean job.

I just upgraded the stock prop shaft with the OSE Upgraded Mystic shaft. I used a bit to Threadlock because I wasn't comfortable with how loose it was even at full tightness.

How does it run for you ?
I was looking at the picture of your strut and it looks low to me.
Can you take some more pictures of the transom and hardware from the stern of the boat.

I think this build is actually finished now; I'd like to paint it at some point.
