    Mystic Mayhem (First attempt)

I've never really ventured too much into building a boat, this is my first major try. It started off as a Proboat Mystic and has changed over the winter. A Hi-Tech Waterproof Servo, A Turnigy Trackstar 2650KV Motor, and a Turnigy 180AMP ESC. My next upgrade will be a Fightercat 32" Rivercat Hull; but this is a build on a budget so It goes very slowly. I've been thinking of getting it painted as well; something Batman-esque, and a disability parking sticker somewhere on it. Maybe a guy in a Boatchair. I do get strange looks when I wheel down into the shallows in my chair to launch it.

Hey boat looks good. Those hulls handle turns nicely so I think you've already got a winner. As far as getting it painted there are a ton of Batman stickers on ebay/graphic shops, by scuffing up your hull laying down some black paint and clear coat you could get a very professional looking finish and spend very little. Are you looking to modify your mystic further?

At this point I don't have any more plans. Will get its first run in March as soon as it warms up.

Looking good. Make sure to start out small on the prop, as the motor is a fairly high kv for 4s. Should do well though!

I'm just waiting on a Water Jacket from OSE and will post a picture once it's complete.

          The props I have are 1.6/2.5, 1.9/2.8, and 2.0/3.0

I like the idea of the batboat,
Hears a video of one for you.

Just may be a little hard to see, Being black that is in the water.
You could add some red and bright chrome for the windshield like the old bat boat was.

Also you may want to add a support under the back of the motor,
I think it is longer the the stock 1800kv motor and would add more torque at the motor mount.
Just looking out side the box at it.

The boat is done; Leopard 4082 2200KV with a Turnigy 180 amp ESC. I did a test today; lasted all of two minutes until the prop came loose, but that was my fault. There was a bit of smoke as well; I was using 4S (2S series) and a 1.84' prop. I'm thinking the prop is a bit big, so for more testing I'll just stick with 2S and a 1.60 prop.

What motor did you run in the test ?
This one, Turnigy Trackstar 2650KV Motor or this one Leopard 4082 2200KV.
Also did you grease the flex shaft good ?
And what size prop is it ?

Also hears something you may like in the idea of the batman boat or dark knight theme.
A member on hear makes these custom hatches, Pretty cool stuff.

                    I tested the Leopard 4082 2200kv motor with a 1.84' prop; i couldn't find a water jacket for the 2650

                      Sorry but,
                      What is a 1.84' prop ?
Is that the pitch or something.

The prop is the Prather S225; I'm still learning what all the numbers mean; and mm or inches are all confusing.

                          Yep me to,
So was anything at all hot in the boat after your run with it ?
I looked it up to and found it. s225 = 45mm
That is a nice size prop,
I just ran mine for the first time on a x642 and all want well,
But I am going to try some M props and S props like a s220 or a m545 and see what happens.
So what do you think of the modded hatches ?

Those mod hatches look pretty neat. I've always wanted to build an RC Tumbler; but I don't think a Matte black boat would work well one the water. Hard to see.
