Although they look really cool, I would personally go with something shorter. The pull/pull is like a gear, so by having the cables close to the center of the servo and apart on the rudder end, you gain more torque and use more teeth on the pinion inside the servo causing less stress. Just my 2c

I took it out today for the water test. Everything was good to go. I had everything in it, but the esc's. Weight was 32lbs, so with the esc's in it. It should weigh in around 36lbs. I had to send out my esc's to joel for some soldering work. Both of my irons wasn't stong enough to get the job done. So the next time I can, I'm getting a big ass soldering gun. Cause if I could hgave done the solding myself. I would have been testing today. BUMMER!!!!

Hi, just wondering if you could shed some info on the ball bearing shaft tube seal units. They look to be water cooled, and what sized brass shaft do they fit onto?. Do you run a teflon liner inside the brass tube?, do the ball bearings help the flex shaft align with the motor coupling?, you must have to get the angle 100% to aviod vibration.
Please excuse all the questions, I have never seen this method before and was curious to know if it was actually beneficial?, if so where can I buy them.

I'm really the wrong person to ask if they are helpful or not. I haven't ran the boat yet, but from what all I have read. They do help out with a smoother running shaft. The nipple on top, isn't for water cooling. I've seen where people just cap it off, and fill it with grease there. I've seen people put grease fittings in there, and use a grease gun ti refill the shaft. And I've seen people use and oil reservoir, and use some heavy oil in the reservoir.
Mine came from MHZ in Germany. The ones I got fit a 10mm shaft. But they have all different sizes out there. And yes I am using a liner.Comment

The bearings are there for the locking collar to ride against in the event a motor coupling comes loose and keeps you from losing your expensive prop and flex shaft assembly. Without the bearing, the locking collar spinning at high RRM would tear into the end of stuffing tube."There's nothing else I really want to do other than get up and build boats." - Mike FioreComment

Finally got everything installed, and let me tell you. Getting all the tubing, wiring, and everything else under the esc covers is a P.I.T.A.!!!! But its all in and been bench tested. Since I got some large size tubing. Who makes the bigger HRC water jacket fittings? I'm going to have to get some larger diameter nipples. Befor I can go test it out. Even with a zip tie tight as hell, it still leaked water.
Should I start out with 8s with 5515/3. Then ifeverything is ok move on up to 10s with the same props? Then later on down the road, I'll try ot my 5517/3 and 6016/3
In the video I moved my tx to 150% throttle.

Jason she looks good man....before I went through all the trouble of ordering new water inlet nipples I would just try smaller tubing first. You will be surprised how much water flows through them.my youtube videos http://www.youtube.com/user/chris81983?feature=mheeComment
