Keep in mind that this boat was designed for a nitro engine which is much lighter than the brushless setup. I've built two of these conversions. The first one I built for a friend I just used what he had available, hardcase lipos, spartan motor/esc. The build was balanced right but it was too heavy. The boat could not come off plane and start again. The miss vegas was designed to be launched and raced, not stop and go. At one point my friend stopped and tried to get up on plane again and the boat went into submarine mode. He lost the radio signal and the motor kept running full speed. It sent the boat a few feet underwater. We almost lost the boat until it decided to resurface, still running, and we were able to retrieve it. Just saying, be careful how much weight you add and be prepared to drive this boat like a nitro.
Also, go to the sporting goods store and pick up a carbon fiber arrow shaft. Cut it to fit in the bow of the center section and epoxy in place. Do this in addition to the CF inlay, (which is really difficult due to the hull bottom shape) and this will add alot of strength.Comment

Borgie,
Be sure to sand all of the paint of the inside before you CF inlay. It just wont stick to paint. Use 80 Grit the 120-150Comment
