    Spirit of Texas Drag Hydro

    Introducing my December 2012+ build.

40" Drag Hydro twin engine, 12S1P

Since 1975, when I would cycle my dragster 90mins from home to watch fire breathing blown V8 Hydros race around buoys on the big river, Ive been obsessed by power boats.
Awed to see drag hydros perform.. Youtube or live, they're a true heart pumper !

A colleague in Qld, Au took the challenge to build a 40" version of this hull
    Diecast model here http://www.diecast.org/diecast98/htm.../reviewpix.htm

    and came back with this

    more to follow.

I have Leo 5692/730 on 12S1P for this build.
The engine mounts can have the motor plate exchanged to suit a pair Neu 1527/1D(2300) 25mm hole centers .. it'll swap them over and run on 6S2P shared, once ride and attitude is all sorted .

I build for fun, fast fun.
SAW depends on whether this hull ( 2nd? from mold ).. is stable at the speeds intended.
                    Stay tuned !

@Kent. You'll hear this spool up from your place, mate

3mm copper rails as charge carriers on the cap bank... soon to be covered in epoxy then heat shrink'ed.

The smallest Conley V8 now is a 6.09cu in (110cc) monster..the boat would need be 1/4 to fit it in !
This hull is a bees whisker under 1/6 scale
hahaha yeah, I did research Conleys a little ..... :)

This will have a different but equally exciting tone from it's twin 'big blocks' howling down the straight !

Floor sweepings.. an amalgam of Carbon and kevlar offcuts all masticated to form a sticky mass.. beats 5 min epoxy .. wont release if it gets warm. !!!
Thanks for the compliment ( I think )
