I am enjoying playing with it. Glad I have a wife that owns a sign shop and is super talented in design with Corel, Adobe, and PhotoShop or I would be lost! Cool build which will be interesting to follow.
Only thing I would comment so far is, the CT deck is awesome but in my eyes very uncomfortable when going electric. Could be pretty tricky to get some well-sized batteries in there. I am building a MHZ 185 right now and already with the regular hatch sometimes I think it could be a bit further forward?

Hi, sorry to barge in on this thread but I think it is relevant, can someone advise a fool proof way to drill the 6 screws that hold the WD200 drive in place on the transom? Read many post on ensuring that the drive is as close to the bottom as possible but no mention on the best way to do that.....welcome any suggestions.Comment

I use a fool proof way of determining the bolt centerline's and drive location. I use tracing paper, secure the drive with the mounting flange up, using tracing paper and a pencil lightly rub the drive mounting flange to give you an outline of the drive/ screw mounting holes and drive shaft hole. I then transfer that tracing to a pattern sheet that can be cutout and the screw centers located. I use a sharp awl to punch thru the pattern at the bolt centers and driveshaft center, the pattern is cut out to the O/D of the drive. I then put tape on the boat hull and locate and tape my patterns to the hull as low as possible. Using the correct drill size drill for the mounting holes and the drive shaft hole drill thru the hull, dont be afraid just go for it, trust me it gets easer, The first 1000.00 + hull I started drilling on made me as nervious as pulling a head of a Ferrari.. for the drive shaft hole I use a Forstner bit it is allot less agressive than a drill bit and cuts a nice clean hole. Jason do you allways have to Backwards!! LOL. Really that works well too on really thing FRP parts, Some times the bit wants to walk a few 0.001 off centerline when turning backwards. Update on my progress, have been spending hours desiging carbon pieces for the speed controller mounts and batt's, also working on hatch hinges and operating rods, so the outer hatches will be operational. pics to come.Top Gun 2011, "current problem" 88MPH.
