the loctite hasnt ever failed on me.

the locktite seems to cost more than the assembled shaft so would it be better to just get it assembled?

Maybe right now it will be cheaper.

But what are you going to do when you need a new flex cable and prop shaft?
Are you just going to buy another new assembled one?
If you buy the loctite now and do it your self this time,
you wont be buying an assembled flex cable next time.
You will have the loctite ready for the new flex cable and prop shaft

Yes you could buy it already assembled, But then you would not have the loctite Or if you buy it assembled and cut the piece off you would need the loctite to use the other half of the flex cable some other time. You could use the loctite for other things as well including loctiteing other screws or parts.
If you buy it assembled you will wish you assembled it yourself, If you assemble it yourself you are going to wish you bought it assembled (murphy's Law)

lol ok im buying it unasembled both came up with great arguments...

ok i was thinking of puting the motor in the middle compartment now.first of is the flex cable thick enough to use at that lenght without bending.second how will i waterproof that area that i need to cut the hole in order to do that .here is a pic the arrow is pointing to the hole im gonna have to cut out.please help i got no clue

the flex cable is in a teflon liner and then you put it in a brass pipe. So it can't really go anywhere. Just use epoxy to waterproof the outlet.
