    In my testing, I have prefered the 15271D over the 0.5Y. The 0.5Y seems very inefficient especially at partial throttle which is hard on controllers.

      Its Made by Hydro Marine out of Germany, I was going to order mine out of Germany, but found out Chris Fine, Of Fine Design Boats carries them in stock, I spoke with Chris seems like a really good guy made me a great deal and had the boat in several days. here is his link http://www.finedesignrc.com/

        Good info, Little late for me to change, getting that motor in there with the speed controller was quite a feat for a guy that has size 14 ring finger, and cant see close up any more, lol in the amount of time getting all the gear rigged in this hull I could have built 6 526cid promod race engines.

          just 2 questions: would a Leo 40 series motor fit in? I guess yes but better to double check...
          and what amp draw do you expect and what esc do you plan to use?

            I have never use or have any experience with Leo motors, I allways run NEU motors, I used the 1527 .5Y comp motor for this build, I used a castle 240 amp SC and plan on 5S, and 6S power. Expecting to see 250amp average
