Really nice painting on the boat!

Esc's from Fliermodel... for me they have the best quality/price ratio and a 5* after sales support.

I will say this it my happen. I got them banged up from VXP off of ebay. What pain in the ass he is to deal with. He had me send picturs of the prop that looked like the edge got hit with a small hammer. The dges had burrs all of because of this. Also some flat spots. Then 2 days latter he tells me to mail them back for eather a refund or a replacement. I go to send them to my post office and they tell me that I need the compete address. I'm glad I asked for the cost of shipping before I sent it. I could has lost the props and no refund. So I kept them and filed and balanced the prop and sent him a sh***!***!***!**ty review. I hope they hold up.
And to think I waited 4 weeks in shipping. I will not do that twice!

I did some work last night. the water jackets came in the mail so here is what I did. first was to install the new motors Leopard 4074 2200kv. Then I installed the saddle to mount the new rudder that I pulled from my Genesis 1426mm as I have a bigger one on the way. So this rudder is a 150mm and should work well on a 42" hull. It doesn't have a water pickup for cooling so I drilled holes in the bottom so that water will come in. I also mounted the servo in a new position so the servo works up right. the build should be lighter as well cause I removed the battery and servo pan that would never stay in place ( welds always broke loose).

I used 2 part Gorilla epoxy on the hardware that you see in this posting.

Have you tested the boat with the batteries that far back?
Mine was verry unstable and wanted to flip with the batteries in the stock position so I ended up putting them in front of the motor.
Now it is way more stable, and that was just with 2000kv on 5S. Scary fast even just on 5S!

Pic of the setup i ended up with:

Yes it runs well over 60 mph! I will get so vids soon! should even be faster with the new motors.
I have the 45mm props and have the esc's adding weight up front. I also have foam up in the nose and added a bulkhead. I'm hopping for 80 mph.
maybe my props help with this as well I'm not shure.

Yea would be nice to see a video of your setup.
I got the whole front filled with foam but foam don't way much, but I added an extra layer of cf in the sides so mine got some weight up front.
I have used s/b x447s but it actually runs faster and cooler with the hobbyking 450/3s. Never measured the speed on mine, but the calc says way over 60mph and I believe it!
                    To fast for me...

You shouldn't have a problem hitting 80 with that set-up. Mine did 73.3 this past weekend with 2 CC 1515y's, 5s and x447's. Looking forward to the vid.
