Niko conversion AKA New rescue boat

I had this Niko on the shelf doing nothing, 7.jpg What im going to try is a brushed 13x2 motor2.jpg With a lrp esc1.jpg Only thing I need to design is a cooling system for the motor. I have an idea 2 use a old motor case like a jacket ?? Any ideas would be sponged up The boat is down to hull 4.jpg My plan is to finish by 2moro nite

I bet if you geared the motor instead of going direct drive you would not need a cooling system. Just a thought

My goal on this project is no money out of pocket lol Like most of my best ideas Buying a boat from visual perfection and just put 1500 bucks into my f 250 this week Wife gona flip if I spend another dime lmao

So I just pulled apart the stock motor box and found some gears. Im going to use the parts to create the new drive system. JB Weld is some great stuff. one of the gears has the hex for the stock cup that goes over the end of the shaft Prob. snap on the first run

You will need to run a gear reduction drive with a 13t motor, if not it'll fry on the first run.
NEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS?? QUALITY 5.5MM, 8MM, 8 AND 10 AWG, GET THEM HERE: http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...est!&highlight=

metal is better.if you fill a metal tube with salt it will avoid it from crimping and i would suggest you find something a little smaller toy coil around

You need to use the metal tube. Rubber or silicone cooling hose won't remove any heat.

Heat some aluminum or brass with torch. Let cool. Then bend. Should be easier to bend this way. You don't need to bend when hot either.

I have some copper tubing left over from a icemaker install. I assume that will work ?? Its much easier to wrap arround the motor and the rubber hose fits it quite well. Although i may make the whole system with it instead of splicing metal to rubber....less connections less chance of leaks ??

No, not enough torque and too high of rpms..................around 40,000 at 2s or 6 cell nimh, without gear reduction it will fry, no question.
