I sand then tack things in place with CA. I think I will build up the transoms, its a lot thinner than I thought.
If it is of concern Brian, you could do like I did on my Shocker and make the doubler large so that it is bonded onto the side and top of the hull.

Just my two cents, but I usually overbuild knowing one day I'll go all steroids on it.

Thats a nice idea using the doubler as a bulkhead of sorts. I'm going to cut out 4 or 5 more layers of CFK and laminate it into the hull with resin to add some strength

I had concerns about the length of the 110 stingers and the pressure they could exert in a wipeout.I figured this would make it strong enough.

I managed to spend some time on this today. I've been waiting on parts from FC for some time now and decided to move on. I ended up up using birch ply for a doubler. I poured Glass resin in the hull over the stuff tube and doubler and encased it - should do the trick. I don't think it was designed for twin drive. The transoms are really thin...

I forgot to mention I installed the motor mounts and motors. I had to canablize one of my other boats for a servo mount, but at least I have one now.

I gotta try and get this finished up soon ( other boats to build ! ) Rudder installed and servo going in.

            100_8285.jpg
I lke to put tape down to recover excess epoxy - and then pull the tape before it starts to set up.
            100_8293.jpg
I used a speedmaster dual pickup center mount rudder modded for push pull steering, and put the rubber rod boots on the inside of the hull.

This boat is gonna be killer on 4s I want to run this in the P-Twin class we run at our club.

At what point do you remove your tape for clean epoxy lines?

I was half expecting to see this one at the lake tomorrow for it's maiden. You must have been goofing off since the last update.

Well I took her to the lake and it popped the steering servo epoxy and lost steering at get go. I fabbed a new servo mount from some trim tab supports I cut in half. they make a bigger mount footprint. It looks good too.

I hope to test her out again tomorrow.

Looks good ! Sorry to hear about the servo mount but how did it run before the mount let loose

Those look like they will stay in place Brian. I'd still suggest a little 2 oz cloth on them though. Seems like the kevlar in the hull is too slippery for epoxy to hang onto it when the hulls taking a beating from the water. I glassed mine in after it let go and it's holding now so far.

I never got far enough to see yet.

Yep, I'm mulling that over, glass may stick it better. I'm going to sand through the finish this time to get a nice bond.
