Here you go it was fairly simple I did it with a standard drill press while I thought I was gonna need to use a lathe

Ouch...dont think you can do that on the MHZ drives hmm, maybe I need the 1/4 version. 3/16 is ok, but we are putting a fair bit of power througn the drives. What is the benefit of the 5mm Chris.? 3/16 is 4.76 already.

Kent I have been talking to Manuel an he stated that he had some problems with standard 3/16 flex. He uses the 5mm in his own build along with his high performance builds. I figured it's much easier to address the issue now rather than later

Mhh the difference in diameter is not big (4.75 vs 5mm) but they are in my eyes better manufactured and have a little different winding and thicker strands. The biggest I've run on these was a set of PropShop 5517/3 at around 38.000rpm. I assume a standard 3/16" shaft will more look like a cork screw if you try that.

                  regards,
                  manuel

I believe the company who makes the ones I am getting is GUNDERT Manuel is getting them for me as I needed a few other parts as well so he is helping me out with everything that is needed to do the switch from 3/16 to 5mm and some extra things like a savox 1251mg and so on

Well she left for paint last night.... I really wanted to wait until the boat was completely built then strip back down, but things got delayed with the build. Plus I called my appointment date once with my painter so delaying it again was totaly out of the question. I should have it back in a week or so

That's what I am saying I need to show off you fancy work I couldn't see putting them over the gloat the. Wasting the vinyl a month or so down the road when I decided to get it painted so I guess it all worked out but my plan is to cover the entire hull with painters tape once I get it back
