@Bruiser:
Thanks for the link. Unfortunately the motors I have available to me are only 820kv...but I think with a prop up I should still be able to get some decent speed.
@nata2run:
Sorry for going off topic in your build thread. I came to this thread to check out your build and I can say it is beautiful work. Very nice!Comment

Doc, your stingers seem a little lost, shouldn't take that long! Definetly follow up. Thanks for the ESC offer, but I should get some this week. I still have some work to do in gluing in the battery mounts.Visit www.customcfparts.com | Custom Boat Building | Custom Carbon Fiber Parts | Custom Graphics | LMT Premium Dealer | MGM Premium Dealer | YouTube | Facebook

Ok, here are the mounts. Just made them simple for quick change of batteries. Nothing fancy but very practical.

Thanks, Shawn I like the simple setups, and this one match well. 1 big screw and done.

Mind you my US delivery for carbon fiber still not here, 5 weeks on the go!!!Visit www.customcfparts.com | Custom Boat Building | Custom Carbon Fiber Parts | Custom Graphics | LMT Premium Dealer | MGM Premium Dealer | YouTube | Facebook

Just ordered Propshop 5017/2 L/R SS, have a feeling this will do well on 8s - the 4818/3 may be a little too much to start with. If I get around 140km/h (near 90mph) @ mid-high 30k RPM I'll be happy. This should be a very realistic aim for that setup. (just based on what its doing now on 6s and how it sits) water here is getting cooler too LOL. But first things first. Where are my ESC's DHL!!! Grrrrr. Untill then can only spin by hand...... "on the stand" very amusing by the way.....or maybe not!Visit www.customcfparts.com | Custom Boat Building | Custom Carbon Fiber Parts | Custom Graphics | LMT Premium Dealer | MGM Premium Dealer | YouTube | Facebook

Yep saw your results, looks good. I don't know how much of that i can translate into my setup, since our setup is very different. the only comfort I have is that you didnt blow your 4082's so hopefully the Lehners won't suffer. We'll to see how it all goes, the high RPM worry me with large props, but I figure 50mm on a 54" is not too big at all, we'll see LOLVisit www.customcfparts.com | Custom Boat Building | Custom Carbon Fiber Parts | Custom Graphics | LMT Premium Dealer | MGM Premium Dealer | YouTube | Facebook

I think I have a ways to go to blow the 4082's.They aren't even breaking a sweat.I'm only running 2000 watts peak so far in either setup.I'll try the 4818's on 6s and see.Then some 2 blades with more pitch is the plan.Baby steps and have everything live is the goal.I also have my ABC 5016's to cut down yet.7s maybe?
Here's the onboard so you can hear.
