Tom, I am shocked you do not paint inside the house with all those lovely fumes and paint dust all over the room. On second thoughts your way may be better than mine. At least you do not get the primal scream of " what the hell have you doing" when the better half entires the house.

Douggie I attempted it once and the flack wasent worth it. If I spray between 10 am and 1pm the sun really bakes the finish on. Since I am in a cornner unit wind and dust are minimal. I can always slip it in the shead to dry also. I really should have done this before sealing the stern and HW install. Time however is against me. T-7 days to baby.

I can't find that octura flex hex anywhere!!! I thought I remembered u saying that it came with the motor???? Best I could find is a threaded 6mm x .187... I'm not to thrilled about coupling the coupler to the cable via 4 set screws...doesnt seem to be the best way to do it! Do u have an octura part number?

Upon closer inspection it looks like the shaft has been turned. I have an email out to the guy I bought it from. I will let you know when he replys.

                  More Clean up

I got the stern cleaned up today. It's an ok job. I was just happy I didnt get any paint on the brackets or stinger. Tomorrow evening I should be able to get the battery plate and servo installed. I also need to find a drag link. Ordering the link for the BJ55 was a good idea until I realized the bj55 is 4 inches wider.

I sanded around the hole inside of the hull in order to remove any oil. Then I put some tape over the out side of the stern. Last I just poured in some 24 hour epoxy and let it dry. Nothing fancy man.
                      Thanks

                          One more step down.

I am nipping away @ it. As you can see the radio/servo plate & esc mount are in. If we are not delivering the baby tomorrow night I will get the servo mounted and start on the esc & radio.

Due to some things beyond my controle I have to give up on this one. It's a matter of numbers really. I can't swing the 6s packs I need to power this setup. Look for it to go up later on tonight.
