Mich i think the hydra's will handle the 5 cells , your motor rpm's are only 83 kv more then mind, it might be worth trying, with those x442. Also i think we both should try some 3 bladed props.

Rear view mirrors on a BOAT?

Why, so you can admire the rooster tail?

Why rear view mirrors? Cuz the real boat has them!

Here's a pic of Maritimo from last weekend - photo taken by AMPBA member Tony Hansford.

Nice work Rick - keep it up!

The exhaust pipes have come out well, what did you use for them?
where are you going to get the decals made? I keep meaning to get decals made for my maritimo but never get round it, Like you I like the Simrad version the top hatch shape matches better. But they keep changing the the layout of the two boats by the time I decide of the decals they have changed

Dave , the pipes are titanium , there off a chopper (tail boom),light and strong , i silicone them into place. If you want a copy of the decals files I'll gladly seen them on, there in eps format which is perfect for the decal/sticker guys to make. Mind are getting made by a local graphics company.

Lets get back on track with the build.

Its looking great. My only worry with the finner details is the damage caused in rolls or flips.

Steven, I've thought about the mirrors and the scoops in a crash, they are glue in with extra strong epoxy ,then bedded in with bog. just in case, i have spare ones. I wasn't going to do to much detailing, but i keep looking at the speedtoy's setup page(http://hpr06.speedtoy.com/)and wow do there boats look good, so I'm aiming to have mine turn out like one of there boats. I've been down the shed , bogging up the side of the boat, fixing all the imperfection in the steps and sanding, lots of sanding, today it will get its first coat of primer. the paint I'm using is two pak polyurethane so i think it should turn out real nice, I've spent a lot of time detailing the hull , o'yer sanding . the hull will look awesome . My decal guy has almost finished his work , he's making me some stickers that look like hatches (shadow)as well , so the top of the boat will look very close to the real thing. SJFE I'm glad you like what I'm doing, I'm a bit of a perfectionist with everything i do.i can't help myself. Takes a lot longer to build but the end result are worth it. thanks guys rick
