Here is how I think I will end up positioning everything. With the motor and the batteries either side plus with the batteries up front I should get good control and flat running. I gave the motor another test earlier just in case I heated up the windings too much (the leopard wires are the worst....seem like 12awg in comparison with castle) Anyway it spun fine

Thanks for the input Carl. I did wonder about the teflon liner. In my Cyber Storm I have managed to melt the end off the teflon....thankfully it didn't jam up.

So here is the finished layout with water cooling and batteries in place. Anything you think I should change please let me know. Just done a bath check and only one leak and of course the flood of water that runs up the shaft. I sealed off the underneath of the stinger to lessen the amount of water coming up and I will have to try the heat shrink trick on the end.

I kept the teflon liner otherwise I couldn't seal off the underneath of the stinger with silicone.

It's a bit short at 15" from the back around 27% although I can make the battery pads along the sides longer to adjust it.

Make sure and put some velcro on the bottom of the ESC so that vibration won't eat thru the shrinkwrap on it real quick.

Tim the CG for this hull should be 11 3/4 for flat water conditions to 12 1/2 for choppy water conditions this is where mine is and I found it runs the best there and these measurements are from the transom forward

Yes you are correct Martin, well spotted. 30% is 12" How do you accurately measure the cog? I balance the boat on its least point and measure from the transom to the balance point. I'm sure it is spot on. earlier I measured the cog on the edge of my bed so I will measure it properly later.

Hi Carl, yes the esc is covered with a velcro bottom which sticks to the opposing velcro which i stuck to the esc mount. Thanks

I just re-measured and it is just under 12" with batteries as far back as they can go with room to move them forward a little. This boat is quite heavy. I have to carry it 200 meters from the car park to the lake side as well....

Youll have to remember not to leave anything in the car, its a long walk back to the car park. Good luck with testing.

Hi Martin the weight is 7.5KG with the batteries and everything else inside.
