So I primed the boat but due to the holes from the old hardware being in the wrong place for the new stinger and rudder I will have to wait on the paint until they are filled.
Ideas of how to fill the holes would be great????

I have loctite body filler which worked great on the scratches and cracks or I have lots of resin. What works best?

Also what 8mm connectors are best?

    Thanks

Fill the holes with 30 minuet epoxy glue, if you want more strength & better filling just chop some glass or carbon & mix in with the epoxy then fill.

Filled all the holes with a resin/fibreglass mix. I then added a little Loctite filler on top of each hole. I just have to sand the excess bits again now.

The hatch has about 20 different cracks in it but Steven informed me a new one wouldn't be cheap (if anyone can do me a DF 41" hatch for a good price I would prefer it to keeping this battered one)
So I have gone crazy with filler and resin. Layering the fiberglass sheets to seal off the exhaust hole at the back then filler on top of that to a smooth finish. The hatch wasn't fitting correctly either as it had been bent out of shape for so long so I have now put a fiberglass sheet across the front of the hatch and I have used a good old elastic band to keep it in shape while the finishing resin goes off.

So after that goes off the next stage is another go over with wet and dry 400 grit over the extra filler then I might get the painting done......

The lipos are probably going to be the last thing I order but just for confirmation.

I was going with 4x 4s 5000mah 40c probably Zippys - Will the weight of the boat be fine with this?

Also any tips on mounting the hardware would be appreciated so I can be prepared. Starting with the stinger.

I actually like the extra weight of 2p in my boats. These modern power systems have more than enough Gusto to get the boats movin with the extra weight. Make sure you dont mount your stinger too low, it'll ride "up" and be a bit flighty. Have at least 4mm+ from the bottom of the Vee to the bottom of the stinger.............

Thanks, the hole for the stinger is about 8mm up so the bottom of the stinger should sit about 4mm up.

The HS322 servo isnt a very powerful servo for that size boat as its only 3.7kg @ 6v.

Yes the 2075 is a much better choice @ 9KG.

OK 21KG torque for £20 sounds good to me and waterproof as well. Never heard of Fitec before but it sounds very similar to another good servo brand Think its even better value than that HK one above.
Hopefully getting another hatch made for this boat in the UK. Just working out price
