Way to go Mark! I wish I could have made it to see it in person. 102mph is insane and I know you will probably squeeze out a few more before it is all over.
Great to hear the FighterCat equipment is getting it done, along with your expertise.

Well the record will stand at 102 for now. What a crazy 3 days. Thanks to everyone for the congrats. We got video of the record run and I'm sure it will get posted when they get time. Thanks to Fightercat and everyone one else who helped me. I'll try to post some more of the event after I recover from this event.

Here some carnage to hold you over for a while. In this video I'm running the 2 outrunners and the 5018 props from FC.

Wow...that was some rpm. Seems way to many for any outrunner but maybe not. I suspect you ended up cooking them or blowing them apart. Nice job on the runs!Comment

Awesome Mark!!!Congrats!!! It's too cool to see someone get a cat over a 100 on this side of the pond and with reasonbly priced equipment as well thanks to Benjamin, VERY COOL!

Jeff, the motors held up fine. I think there rated at a higher rpm than I was running them at. The only thing that happened was one of the c clips got loose from the many blow overs. I ran the boat a total of 9 times and 6 of the times ended up like in the video. These motors are going to be great for 4s sport boaters.
Thanks Chris, I think 110 is doable and this is only a 37" boat. The faster you take this thing the more forward you need to get the cg. I left some on the table because I want to show people what Benjamins motors can do.
I should also mention ( this is for you sport boaters ) that when I was doing some testing on 4s I tryed reversing the props and shaft to spin the props outwards and the boat turned much better. The boat wants to spin out if your not carefull when spinning them in but I could hold full throttle into the turns with them spinning out and it would kind of slide around the turns. It also made the boat run looser when I made the change to out which I thought was kind of strange so you might need to move your cg forward if yours does this.

Well thanks for that info Mark. It's going outwards when I get my new cables.I know what you mean about the hooking. That saves me one step of experimentation.I like the putting the weight forward part as I can't go back anymore.
BTW I haven't seen you post this on FC?Comment

I'm looking at building a twin Fightercat very soon...How do you determine the placement of the motor mounts...getting them squared up and glassing them? I'm sure I will have a few question for you so bare with me. Thanks Mark in Mobile Alabama looking for a mentor. LOL Have a good day and congrats on the record breakking speeds!Comment
