    It would be great to see a pic of it with fan and water cooling. Seems you would now be trying to cool the resin block it was put in to.

        How on earth do you wanna cool components which are completely "drowned" in a
        thick layer op resin ??????????
        IMO a simple heatsink wrap around the naked esc, with a fan on 1 side would have been more effective.

          guys look at the date of the posts, SJFE was into keeping things square and neat in his boats. It obviously worked for a low amp setup because he kept amp draw low as to not blow a inexpensive chinese esc.

            Gerwin, my thoughts exactly. Doing more harm than good for that ESC kereping all the heat in.

              Dont get me wrong. I would never do or suggest it. No air movement and no chance any cooling getting in. I just remember his style of wanting it clean and neat in his boats.

                I think Tom (SJFE) had just fried an HM200A ESC because it had gotten wet, just before he decided to do this. I think he may have been more concerned about waterproofing than heat dissipation. I think the DP270 will transfer some heat, but probably not enough to offset the heat that is retained. I would think the epoxy would weigh more than the ESC as well.

                  Go and have a look at post #84 at http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...?t=5727&page=3 . It shows mine watercooled and with a 5V fan connected to the third channel on the Rx. It moves the air, not blowing any wind on it though... Haven't run her like this yet, will soon

                    Yea i sealed one, did it incorrectly and it blew very nicely cause of water damage;
                    the second one i did for a mate though i used ray's method and it worked really well, i was nearly confident enough to test it in a glass of water
