i wanted to something different, and with this hull i thought of something good for the indents in the back, these water flow outlets will be stream line and gave me something to do for a while. its cold and work has been slow.

there isnt much room where those indents are, so i used some 90 degree fittings in a dual water pick up, welded the water pick up to an aluminum plate, just for decoration and a functioning hatch i used some small round head bolts

i will be putting clamps in the cooling lines

and im using a piece of 2mm cf for a flange bolt , and i will be using some sort of gasket so there will be no water infiltration.

Nice job ! An idea on a gasket for that plate - I have used spray liquid tape before and it works well. spray it a couple times and let dry... instant seal when bolted up.

Thanks kong! I haven't received much input from anybody, I almost have the mounting plate for the speed controllers done

im just using some flat stock for the esc's to mount on, i did get some cc capiacitor banks. was going to make my own but theese look cool, and they went with my idea. with a series plug wireing i have extra wire so these will help, cc says you can add up to seven inches of wire using these
i was going to weld this all together but found some rubber washers to isolate between plates, just for some minor vibrations and impacts, the mount will be bolted through the bottom of the hull with some trim washers. as these will not interfear with aerodynamics, they may actually help by disrupting the airflow on the bottom side. i will also be adding a piece of windsheild wiper to an airdam towards the front

and just set in place for now, im not going to drill holes till the cg is determined, and i have the option to move the weight fore or aft

if i dont have decent weather and nothing to do i will polish them better,

Good idea for a gasket, I just got done using the clear tape on the cap boards, I think that idea will work well, I was planing on using thin foam mat, stuff they sell in craft stores, even adhesive backed.

I've been looking at one of those controllers now for a while, they are nice ESC's... logging is defiantly a plus

Use the noodles. This hull doesn't need the weight in the nose.

that was my idea, to be able to see just how much water is going through the system,. i just think i can see the discharge better here than having them on the side. i dont really look when its going full throttle, just when i slow down some and let things cool off some. i might switch to the telementry rx that spectrum has as i am using a dx3 tx. i always wanted to see in real-time the temperature fluctuation while underway. only thing is that rx has a short antenna, i would have to extend that. not sure if that is coax wire or not, easy if it isnt, i know the marine ones are thats why they say only the last 30mm or so is what is receving. and the telemetry only brocasts up to 100' or so but that would be fine for me. only would have one temp probe but i could just switch it around from motor to motor or speedo and compare to data logging.

thanks srislash, but i think your paint job will be way better, thats the area i dont have much experience in, im thinking of just painting the underside and going with some decals on topside, not sure on that yet.
this is something that i have been thinking about, i always like the windsheild in my ekos, i can get an idea of how urgent it is to get the tape off, if i see moisture or that ugly smoke! i found some p e t plastic and i heat formed it to the hatch,

i know you cant see the pet very well so i tried to make up with more pics

i put some marker on to see it better, this was the first one done, i will do another one that will be formed better. i wante to see if i could do it and make it work with one piece before i cut anything that i may regret later, and i need to find some thicker pet or i would like to find some lightly smoked plastic, like a two leiter coke bottle or similar would work, a touch thicker if possible. and like i said im not sure if i am even going to do this, i would have to get the right epoxy also. i just like the ability to see inside. anybody ever have a ekos hatch blow out the windsheild?
