I know you'll get it dialed. Here's some thoughts :

Rudder seems long; it'll pull front down & then the front will plane up again. Boing Boing. (just a thought, may or not help to trim rudder shorter but you probably don't need that deep a rudder)

Bottom needs to be FLAT. Worked out the very same problem with other monos when the bottom had irregularities when internal component installation/epoxying sucked up the bottom. Trueing the bottom totally cured this. With the abs bottom of the Villian, this may have happened. Straightedge, bondo, sand, eucch !

FWIW on my 30" or less monos I shorten the stinger @5/8". Not sure this is involved with your situation, but just sayin...

    Hang tough, You'll get it

I had the very same thought, the only problem doing that is the solid part of the shaft gets real close to the transom bend area and its right on the edge of the part that starts to flex. If I shorten the other end then i'll have to add threads which is a *&%^&%*!

Yup, ran into that same problem when I wanted to go from .150 to .187 on my 29" Titan with a shortened stinger. Stayed with the .150; was too cheap to buy a thread dye to re-thread the end. Not convinced that the longer stinger contributes to the bouncing, 'tho.

Got her all fixed up on the interior.............gauges, vinyl seats, cd player and speakers. Made a windshield as well.

Also added the Chaparral logo to it.

Had her out three times now for tuning and she's almost there.........these Villains are extremely tough to set up, those that have done one are well aware.

          Video is cooking!

Killer job on the interior-really finishes off the scale look.

Here's a suggestion (not trying to meddle, just thinking....) : How'z about burying the cooling hose a tad for less of a "model look" with a 90 deg. fitting & some black hose ?

                Thanks guys!

Good idea on the cooling tube Tony................does kinda ruin the scale look of it. I'll do some tinkering on that.

My 10 year old son shot the vid............great job by him.

When I uploaded from the camera i forgot to plug the audio jack in.........wasnt gonna do it over again so i added a track from the Youtube library.........

Got to about 85% throttle....kinda runnin' out of room as you can see in the corners especially.

That came out really pretty, Now you just need a scale driver.
And do not forget to run with out the stand or trailer.

I am waiting to hear from "norcallump" on another villain too. He agreed to sell me his, wish he would send me his pp addy already........

I still have my Villain, and I hope to soon have another to turn into a guided missile "compared to the stock tamiya 27t in them". Keep in the good work bro.

Heya Wake' sweet boat ya Villain junkie !!!!!. Did you hand paint the seats and things in the interior ?. Where did you get the decals for the dash and speakers bro ?.

My Villain is still running twin speed gems motors and X442 props. I was thinking of going to a brushless setup, similar to your "wolf".

I was hoping to buy the one norcallump put up for sale here. I told him I'll take it, then he disappeared. Guess I'll have to look around for another.
