Looks to me like there is someone else other than myself who needs a bigger body of water to stretch the legs.Looks great.I would still try some 50mm 1.8's.

Shawn, do you think the 5018 will do much over the 4818? should be very minor no? couple of mph?

I'm not sure Kent,There is also 52mm and 55mm at FC.
I'm still just playing with what my 4083's will handle. The big 1717 boat awaits a hull choice yet.AND TIME,been busy at work.
Going to look into the R42 a bit more http://www3.telus.net/acboats/cats.html

I just played with the speed calc and it would only be 3-4mph.Running 7-8 s however... 100mph with your 48mm props

Now 100mph in the little pond is just a scary thought. R42? What happens to HPR or MHZ?

Just going to look into it.Supposed to handle awesome. We'll see when I see it in action. The maker,Andy has invited me out to check it out(in gas form).

The HPR is out for sure.Just too much $$ and don't like corners.

I've run the twin 1717s on 8s in the fantasm twice now and they did great. Transom did great after double carbon fiber plate and carbon Kevlar in and out, motors are really torquey. Videos coming soon.
