Wasn't gonna post any more pics till the boat was close to complete but after adding finishing touches to the paint, and how well the clear coat is going down i fuguered i might as well share the progress. I have 5 coats of clear on it right now, and i just started wet sanding it to level the paint, then i'll shoot at least a few more coats of clear. After that i'll sand and polish out, then assemble the whole thing! I also have the large "FighterCat" Logo's for the sides.

Thanks guy's!! Gimp, i did tape off the outter edge of the pinstripes and hand painted them using the edge of the purple as a guide. After spraying the clear, the silver pinstripes realy pop out more than before. We are about 2 months or so away from getting back to the pond, hope to have it all done by then!

Did a nice job! Will you be getting hatch decals for her? Jeff can do them in what ever colors you want, my last set was red, white, and black (for the Shelby theme).
With the way winter is going, I should be in the water consistently in the next month. The water here never completely froze over, and were only frozen for a week. I've been really liking it, I hate winter lol.

Tell me about it, i hate winter too!! This winter hasn't been too bad so far, hope it stay's that way! The pond i use is probably thawed out right now, been really warm lately, but even tho it's a great site to run the dirt road back to it is a PITA and probably a mud hole, that's why i say at least a couple months. Yeah, i have to get ahold of Jeff and order a set of hatch decals, they look great, i'd probably go with black so they stand out well. I was alos at the parts store today and couldn't find any of those windshield squirter covers, have to look else where one of these days.

I found mine at AutoZone but you may not have one there,, try a autoparts store in the section where they sell little cheap hop-up parts for your car like the little led light shifters and stickers and such..

I didn't try AutoZone, that's a good idea, we have 2 of them in town. I always go to Advance Auto, i looked for them in the "custom" section but didn't see them.

Doing some mock up work today, figuring out where and which way to mount everything. Made a flat piece to set the ESC on, think i'll probably hold the ESC down with velcro so that it's easier to get out incase of an issue. I also found out that Turnigy 2S lipos don't fit very well in the sponsons, they'd be fine of the leads didn't come out the side corners of the packs. Luckily i haven't yet epoxied in the battery trays so i made some pieces to set them up higher and hopefully allow the batteries to fit better. I've finished clear coating the hull and after it sets for about a week i'm gonna wet sand and polish it out, after that i can permanatly install the stuffing tube. I still have to clear the cowl, but i'm still thinking about adding some more grachics, that'll be the last thing i do, even if it's not done i can still run it! She's coming along, i'm getting excited now, spring isn't all that far away but at least i still have some time to wrap it all up, i have a feeling i'm gonna need it lol!

Made some more progress, spring is coming, gotta get her done! Paint is all wet sanded, buffed and polished, looks a mile deep!! Also added the FighterCat logo's, went with the chrome! I also have epoxied in the the stuffing tube and mounted the rear hardware for the last time! I have "pre-set", if you will, the strut height with the bottom of the strut just slightly below the bottom of the last step of the hull. A little early for set up i know, but does that sound right? A few more pics...
