I really like the Omni base coat clear coat over Dupla color paint shop. I do not like the Dupla color paint shop clear though. You can call me if you want my help.

I have been using Omni Clear over the House of color and base coat of Dupla color paint shop lacquer. I have really loved the results the Omni Clear is in the $45 to $75 range for a quart. My sales man has the Zolatone on sale on Saturdays for a gallon kit for $75.00 and said it was just as good as the Omni clear so I will be testing some on my 1/8 scale.

Even further behind now as the cowl was damaged by the stripper and I cut it off. Need to wait to get another one then start over again.

I am cursed too! The Omni MBX is a hotter mix from the Omni LV that I have been using. I have to sand down all my work and start over.

Ok just ordered new tips for my airbrush and got the new cowl yesterday. Next up fit the cowl to the hatch and get everything ready for priming.

I was lucky I had help sanding. The base appears to be real important I had to put a Epoxy sealer primer on the hull to stop the thinners from comming up in the non hardened paint. I ended up putting several coats over the Omni paint with the epoxy sealer to block the solvents then was able to put the Omni on again with no problems.

Alright back on track will paint it next weekend. Primer layed down nicely only one are on the deck to fix

paint going on right now 1st coat of red base coat just done. Boat will be painted and cleared today

Deck is all wet sanded and rubbed out ready for graphics and hardware hopefully get it together this weekend
