I'll have to watch my props in the summer but I haven't been having cap issues. The water is still cool around here in the summer. It only occasionally hit high 20's celsius.

Got her out today again.Had a flex slip so I tightened it up.I don't think I left enough gap for the wind up because I broke it.

Allright,I have some long shafts coming for the stingers and I possess L&R 645's & 648's.Working on the balancing thing.Back to the water soon.

Think I'm gonna upsize my cooling system before it sees water.

Hey. always have teflon washer floating between drive dog and stinger/strut.. aids prevention of dog lock onto stinger which breaks shafts IME. A free dog reduces bind break chance.

Electronics are best run cold.. water: lots in, lots out, dont restrict the flow.. ignore technophobes who suggest differently.

I pulled everything apart on my MG and oversized the holes in the fittings ,opened up the rudder intakes.Everything is a solid 1/8 in that one now.Thats what I'm going to do to this one.Just haven't figured out the rudder blade intakes yet.Open them up that is.I have a dremel.
Thanks for checking it out Doc.

I use a very small reamer to open the rudder intake holes and than sand it smooth.

Hey guys,I finally got out to play with the Shocker today. The new shafts from Randy worked great and make me feel alot better about the durability.I got to bump up props from the 447's to 645's and even stuck the 648's on.I had the Eagle Tree plugged in and the 648's only took a max of 89 amps/1600 watts.Plenty of room here. This was on 5s again.Still a slight hooking if I'm on it and it did go over twice. My waterproof seals work great. She could sit upside down all day.I had a buddy do some filming so we'll see what is viewable.I ordered some SS 4518 2 blades from propshop the other night so that should kick her up when they arrive.I guess I built her good because every run so far has been successful except for the one shaft. My bad.

All looking good... got on order, some 4518/3 for mine. I do like the idea of 1.8 pitch I think it would even sound good when it rips.

I'm hoping to load her up a bit more with 1.8's. It jumps up to speed pretty quick.
