Things are comfy, especially since I was on and off throttle alot. The caps hit 138 F on one run.Esc was 110 F.Those TP 4082's are barely warm.
I think I suggested them to Kent before.FC has 5218 and 5518 as well.
I folded my "thinned" ABC 2016/3's a little.Think I'm going to straighten and trim them to 45mm and harden them.I've got other projects to put them on.

I have got to get a radar gun.Gps doesn't go thru CF hull.Tried taping one on top. I'm sure it has more in it.
Prop shop 50 mm 1.7 2 blades on the way for 6s.May trim them a bit.

Hey Shawn, boat looks good, I just got some 5018s from fightercat. Made her run very wet, had to bring up the stingers a bit, where have you settled with stingers and c/g? I tryied the garmen gps inside and yea doesn't work too good. It said 35 mph, I was running the 5018s on 8s on 4092 tp motors. Pretty shure it was going over 35 lol!!! Your boat does look good and it's nice to hear how your setups are going. And the vids too! I'm going to put some vids up sometime soon.

My stingers are level with the table with the hull at rest on the table.Actually I switched to a glass surface and found one stinger off by a mm.Made a difference but the biggest difference so far was "tucking" the rudder.Really plants the transom in the corners.I believe the CG is at 9 3/4"-10" on 5s and forward on 6s.I'm still playing with it though.

I found a new place closer to home to run the boats.Problem is it is a backeddy for the Fraser River. So I see I will have to watch for tides as when it backs up it tends to collect sticks and stuff. Not much for current though so should be able to retrieve easy enough. There is a nice dock and a good run where the boat goes by so should be able to get some good vid of the runs.So here it is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cHTYt...=youtube_gdata

batts down low in the sponsons, very close to the front of the motors.
ESC's on the tunnel, away from any water that might somehow get inside.
make sure to centralize the mass.

Looks great Shawn thanks for the link i'm starting to like the fc cnc props might need to get me a few sets. Sme told me when they spun them at high rpm they threw blades. Did u have any problems with them ?

I haven't had a problem yet and have had them buzzed up pretty good.It may depend on the definition of high RPM.I should have some more prop and motor updates on here soon as this boat will be my test bed for a 16s 300 amp twin ESC.

Chris I'm also using the cnc props on my new boat, I really like the way it's going. Would be interesting to see how it performs on 8s

Shawn / kent - Well I would spin them just under 47,000 rpm for my saw passes, but mostly at 32,000 for 4s and 39,000 for 5s. What is the highest you guys spun them ? Thanks for your help

Well, I would love to but have to make sure motors can handle the props on 8s they seem like large props for the rpm ill be running. Maybe I should prop down? 8s it easy to hook up, my worry is how the setup will handle it.
