LOL no but it was coming. It rained later that day, all night and all the next day. It handles it very well in the straights but doesnt like turning yet. Cant wait to get it back in the water.. smooth water.

And, it sounds that mean... and its a single drive.

Tried to get it out yesterday before this weather system moved thru and had an issue w/ the ESC. A quality control thing. Its been brought to Bens attention and Ive repaired the issue. Probably wont find time to get it back in the water until Sunday.

Its a prototype ESC and some changes have already been made to it. So its probably not going to be an issue w/ the updated controllers, but Benjamins going to do what needs done to make sure.

None. Had her at the races this past weekend and she wouldn't go. Esc was doing things id never seen. Not a lvc issue and I even tried in on 2p and several sets of batts. Spoke w Ben, he had the same problem w one he tested, so I'm shipping the esc back and he's sending another. As soon as I get it wet again ill update the thread.

Update

got eh new ESC in from Ben a couple days ago. Ill have it installed and programmed tomorrow and hope to run her this weekend for a bit. Certainly the following (Sunday teh 13th) as its our club meet. Thats where I can get the real testing in race water. Im itchen to run this thing again. I also may have a deeper rudder to swap out the 115 thats on it. Direct swap out at that, rudder blade only.

finally got some water time w/ this thing. Still have some turning issues but she runs like mad in a straight line. This is running a M445 backcut prop. I had a deeper rudder made but couldnt use it as it does not have a water pick up in it. Without something deeper theres no hope of adjusting to make it much better. Ben contacted me today but I was racing so I missed his call. Gave him a shout back but havent heard from him yet. Hopefully I can get a hold of him tomorrow and we can make the next step. the boat just seems to run too light. I ran it again after this tumble and it did the same thing going into the turn at the end of the front stretch. It just wants to catch the outside and trip itself. Reminds me a lot of the BJ26. Im starting a twin build this week. Hope to have it done and testing in a couple weeks for the customer. That will answer our "is it better as a twin drive" question

Wow, boat looks great flying across the water!! From the video it looks like the boat handles pretty well, and no shortage of speed lol!

Exactly right shawn. Esc is super touchy.. on or off and not much inbetween. I wasn't going to bring any of it up yet until I talked to ben so it figures the first comment about it would ask. Both escs I'm testing seem to be stout esc, but at this point I would not recommend either for the racer. Sport boating they'd be ok. But ben and I are working together to try and solve these issues. I can get passed the touchy throttle.. its the .25 sec delay that's killin me. You wouldn't think .25 seconds is noticeable until your racing in a corner or get cut off and need instant off and on. Both escs I'm running are doing this and both are very difficult to race with.

I wonder if front step being so low in the water may cause the tripping,you had commented on The MG doing that with too much forward weight.

Certainly any boat will hook if running too wet. 100% positive that's not the case here. I can't go any further back w cog or it starts to want to lift. Its the sponson design causing it. Its not doing the usual hook and turn.. it just suddenly cartwheels.. no warning at all.

From the first pics on this thread the wide+low tunnel would compress more air than other cats around this size = more lift = more likely to blow over in corners.
Had similar issue with H&M 37" cat.. added 1/2x1/2 air dam in tunnel and issue solved.

The non lifting prop far behind rear ride surface adds a fulcrum effect in corners... buries butt, raises nose, then hooks on trailing edge of sponson.
