I have tried the props both ways. On my other dual mono I have the props spinning inward as I have different struts and the props are lower in the water.

On this mono I have them spinning outward so that they pull in "clean" water in and push it towards eachother. They draw more amps this way but give more acceleration, top speed is about the same id say. Spinning inwards seems to pull water away from the other prop which leads to more cavitation and less acceleration.

I havn't noticed any difference in handling on this setup, I think that comes into play more on a dual cat then mono.

Im just waiting on the rain to stop so I can get some video.............

any idea if having the props so close could cause issues?
              Looks killer any how..

having them closer together will help with steering, I don't know if it would cause issues but could stir up the water a little too much, I would be concerned about the rudder not getting clean enough water.

                          Upgrades

Haven't been able to find any one to take a video for me but I will make sure to get one the next time I take it out.

Anyways I've made a few improvements last spring but haven't been on here in a while to post.

I upgraded my motors from Leopard 4082's on 6s lipo to Leopard 4092's on 12s lipo.

Swapped my Turnigy Marine 180's for Castle HydraICE 300's

Upgraded stingers to larger Speedmaster stingers

                          Changed batteries from 5000mah 6s3p 40c to 8000mah 12s1p 35c.

                          Installed much improved battery tray.

                          Added waterproof receiver box.

                          Added spark arrestor. See below.

Here's some pics making the new battery tray.

I usually run the RC boat off the big boat so its hard to find a driver and a camera guy

I've been looking into a nice GPS to get an accurate top speed. I do know its in the sixties though as it keeps up with my 225hp jet ski that tops out at 63.

Also the runtime of this boat is always at least 12-15 minutes with aggressive runs, usually jumping wake and running along the boat. Nothing is ever even warm to the touch, not even the batteries.

I saw the link to your custom boat, that's some really awesome fiberglass work.
