I'm thinking I might raise the strut angle a tad and try a set of x450/3's otherwise have a crack at 6s1p. I hope to have some time to play around Sunday.

            Very cool setup!
Did you get the SprintCat trimmed out?
What kind of run times did you get on the setup?

I ran her again today, couldn't wait. I ran 6s1p per side with the lipo's up in the battery tray and the struts at neutral at around 3/8" above the sponsons (thanks chris) and it ran much quicker than the maiden although it was still running a tad wet, maybe if I try the lipos in the sponsons up against the sponsons will be the go. I ran for around two minutes and both batteries got pretty warm and one of them has swelled a bit but should be fine, I think the next run might be with 6s2p and the x450/3's.

My Falcon Cat with the twin 1717's on T180's is a ball of fun to drive. Battery quality makes a huge difference in my boat. I do between 120 and 125kmh on Nano 6s 5000mah 65c or 135 to 140kmh on 6s Entropy 5800mah 50c.

I am running Propshop 5017/3's. The 1717 motor is like a big ass diesel they just keep pulling if you can supply the amps. Just has to be good quality amps thats all.

better batteries might be on the next order list, that way I'll feel safer running 1p per side.

                      0Smokin!!!

Today's run didn't go as well as I would have hoped

A bit of a clean up needed but otherwise no real damage to the hull, mounts or hatch, I'm sure glad I lined it all.
I ran 6s1p per side and the left hand side speedo wasn't happy spinning the 5017/3 prop and said so. The struts need to be raised a little at the rear to push the nose up a little as the left side was running very wet, very short and smelly run!!

Fu@@ me that sux. 5017/3 is a pretty large spoon man. Best stuff to ckean her up is first scrub with simple green and purple power. Next some acetone scrub down then next spray the crap out with brake cleaner and should be good n almost smell free by then. It worked perfect for the few smoke shows I had you couldn't tell it was ever cooked after I finished cleaning her up.

Running super wet. I think your struts were way way to deep. whats your cg she ? should be running much faster my same setup was around 80-85 mph with 50mm prop with 1.4 pitch two blade
