Stephen's been having so much fun with the FE 30 I built for him that now he wanted a mono to chase me around with. With a trusty Neu 1521 1.5D this should git 'er done
Speedmaster stinger (shortened some
) & rudder, OSE tabs & XL fins. Reinforced the upper rudder mounting through-bolts which miss the original backing plate when the rudder is mounted high enough so as to not interfere with tabs. All through-bolts sealed with gooey stuff.
4" rails (mocked up for now) and a wedge-shaped laminated piece of ply for servo mount. T-180 & Etti board on top of speedy ( bottom of Etti insulated from SC with G-10.) Tricky soldering job, but works just fine on my IB 34 Mono. One thing I'll say is that building a rear-motor mono with rails is mucho tricky to get everything fitted just right, but I prefer this setup because the batteries go closer to the centerline; can easily be moved fore-aft to adjust CG, and can be secured well.DSC02430.JPGDSC02422-1.JPGDSC02419-1.JPG
