what you like the V8 OMC??? well I quess we can all be into the good motors! lol

Herb has used the inline 6 merc style cowling on his boats and said that all you need is a 1/4 piece of ply on either side of the motor adapter, and you can attach that cowling with no problems.

Tom did you just epoxy your radio box to the hull?

Yup sure did. I wanted to be able to just pop it off if I had to.

hi guys , was just wondering after reading this thread that i might wanna get my hands on a topspeed2 myself , well in singapore not much boaters and choices r limited unless bought online , saw ts2 at the LHS and going for a good price , hull only. but would be the ideal hardware and , esc and motor would u guys reckon?'inboard' and what kinda speed can this hull manage ? 70km/h - 100km/h ?boat building for the first time does excite me but also at the ame time makes me wanna make minimal mess ups . can the experts do give me some sound advice . didnt wanna start a new thread cause the subject is still the same . dun mean to hijack this thread ..lol

another ? can the BL motor on the outboard run without the merc cowl or anyother coverings!!!! or is it a must to cover up to keep it away from water getting into it ?
a video of her running be real good too ....

Update - The Low Bucks Racing Special

...As promised in the Swap Shop thread, here are pics after making it a little more "ME" style.

Inside looks the same...plus I have some wiring left to do that looks a bit untidy, so I didn't want to show that.

Thanks again Tom...can't wait to test!
