I did mine a 3 1/2 inches from the transom (stinger mounts, measured from the inside of the hull). I put them as far back as was comfortable so I could remove and adjust the batteries easily. My cog is around 10" with my setup. You can see my lay out in my boat building post scorpion daytona 37. Hope this helps. Beautiful boat you have.

Got some more done today, glued in the motor mount cooler nipples and scuffed the hull and epoxyed in the mounts,,,then i layed some carbonfiber cloth over the epoxy to make it blend alittle better.. Also cut my tubes, teflon and flexshafts but my problem now is with the .187 shafts and the short distance of the tubes i can feel drag on the shaft when i turn it buy hand ,, not sure how to fix that yet so if anyone has any ideas ''Holler''..

Have you tried it without the Teflon? Looks pretty snug to me.

not without the teflon yet, ithough it would be to loose and slap around so now i think tomorrow ill try it with some 1/4 brass tube and no teflon,,ill see how that feels..

well i had to ditch the aluminum tubes and teflon, i just couldnt get them to spin with no drag so i went with 1/4'' tubes and no teflon they spin pritty freely now..Got my stuffing tubes glued in and put some CF braces on them plus i put in my battery trays and made a esc plate for my esc's to sit on,,more to come later!!!

before my stingers were tilded down because the shape of the hull no matter how far up i adjusted them so i removed the stingers and took some thin washers and drilled out the center hole to the same size as the hole in the stinger,,then epoxyed them against the hull and used alot of clear silicone around the bolt holes and reinsalled them,,,but i also had to grind away alittle off the tops of the stingers cuz they were hitting the hull floor now they are even with the hull and i can adjust them up or down..
