Well i Fixed the hull, just put a layer of matt and fg resin on the inside over the seam where it split, then used some clear epoxy to seal upp the outside split, hardly even noticeable actually.

Took it for a good run today and FINALLY it ran like a champ!! I set the COG to 32% and turned my turn fins downward a bit, she ran smooth, handled the chop way better and turns on a dime!! On my first few passes i tested it with the prather s235 and it was very smooth running and to my surprise eagletree only showed me a max amps of 197. i ran it for a good 2-3 mins after that initial test and when i brought it back in amps were the same, the esc caps did get up to 145 though and the eagletree unit started to melt the clear shrink wrap wround the power leads. Top speed was 57.9, now this is the weird thing, i'm thinking something is worng with my forerunner, cause i could swear my last 3 or 4 top speed runs were exactly 57.9 as well?? Perhaps i need to take it in my truck and see if its reading past 57.9m because that boat was ripping on that prather prop!! On nearly dead batts i threw on the 2 blade x646 and ran it down to the lvc and got 55mph and the esc caps got up to 165!!everything else was cool as could be, oh well i fugure i ran it HARD today really long runs and she handled it great!!

          Holes Marking ?

nice build you have. How dou you know to mark the holes? I am planing to build one df 35!
          What hardware do you use?

          Thank you!

Picked up the hull and hardware from here at OSE.

          Going with cc1717, Swordfish 240hv, 6s2p.

Started off by covering the transom with some masking tape and marking out and drilling all the holes for the hardware, wow thats alotof holes!! Ordered the hull with 4" rails pre-installed. Hooked up with a real cool guy who fabbed me up a beatiful motor mount and servo tray, thanks!!

Took it to work today and splashed the top half with a coarse metallic sky blue. was planning on doing a wild paintjob with ice pearl flames and lime green pinstriping borrowed from the scheme on Jesse James' "sturgis special" but after laying the base and realizing theres really not a whole lot of room, i think i'm just gonna paint on the window and lay some pinstriping on it and call it a wrap!, but who knows......

One thing i was dissapointed with was the fitment of the hatch, thinking being a real delta force i imagined it would have fit well, but it didnt' so i had to shave a couple mm's off eaxh side andcontour the front corners better for it to fit better, nothing major though.

Last post in this thread was over 12 years ago. Best to start something new and ask your build questions there.
