Hey Hotwater, or anyone else who have made one, can you do me a favour? I am going to put the stuffing tube in using epoxy but I am not totally sold on how high it needs to be at the transom. I am using Speedmaster hardware like most of you but before I firm this up, I would like an idea of how close it needs to be. Hotwaters pictures show maybe a 1/2 inch, does that sound right? Thanks

THIS THREAD NEEDS MORE PIX! lol! I was just looking at one of those boats, was thinking it would make a cool project. This is the perfect thread to lead me in the right direction cause I wouldn't know what the hell I am doing. lol

The strut height is set laying the rigger on a flat surface....with the sponsons resting on a flat surface, raise the transom of the boat until the bottom of the hull is PARALLEL to your flat surface....that is where the bottom of the strut needs to be....basically the depth of your sponsons...

Also, when you setup your turn fin, the horizontal bend in the fin (when looking at it from the side) also needs to be parallel to the bottom of the tub.....
