You can look at my pictures and see the setup I used for my MM. I sweated over this a great deal as this was my first electric build, used to build nitro boats. What I found was that placement of the motor, escape, etc. (for boat balance) was not as critical as nitro as long as you give yourself a nice area for you batteries as you can move them back and forth. I run a Castle HV180, Neu 1515.1Y, Etti mount on 4S2P best GPS speed has been 58.5mph. Watch it run on YouTube

The video of the D&D Mean Machine was GPSed at 57.5 MPH. I only had one run at 58.5, most all of my other runs varied from 57.2 to 57.5 MPH. Frustrating, considering all of the different variables (props, balance, strut depths, etc.) I tried. But, it was consistant......

It's 5 1/2 rudder. I figure I can just shorten it up a bit, no biggie. It's speedmaster 21 rudder

I have the same rudder and I found that it performed better after I took a bit off.

so im ready to do some wiring. since im doing parallel wiring im wondering if 12ga wire is ok for my parallel connectors? im thinking 8mm bullet for esc to parallel split, then 5mm to the batteries...

guys, heres where im at. got everything in there. heres where i put my seaking180 esc, because i have a subhatch. wrapped cooling lines with radio wiring, keeps everything in place. cooling lines get holes drilled just big enough so hose slides thru, then aluminum tube just bigger than i.d of tubing pushed into the tube in the hole. the aluminum pushes the silicon open and puts pressure and creates tight seal, and acts as quick connect for colling lines going into the boat, you can see what i mean in the pic, i left one line disconnected. x442 for now.
