I've got all winter. Ahaha. I'll be getting the regular version, since that'll give me some time to make adjustments and whatnot to get everything right.

I got my servo in this week, the HS7955TG V2. Looks good! Should be getting some hardware in tomorrow, and some more random things from MHZ.

Ok peeps I made a mistake on tubing size for .078 wire. It is the 1/8 o.d. The 3/32 tubing can be used for .062 wire. If anyone was following this conversation in the swap shop.

It sucked when the wire and tubing came in today and the tubing was too small. Haha, it's alright though. I just ordered the correct size (it better be the correct size!, lol) and I'll return the wrong one I bought :)

Sorry dude. My intentions were good. Keep the tubing you might need it later. Not worth sending back. Might wanna make a .062 wire drive down the road.........

No problem, I appreciate all the help I've received from both you and all the other members. The thing is I spent like $10 on the tubing since I bought a crap-load of it, haha. I'd rather have them credit my account with the 10 instead of having it sit around. I don't know, I'll think about it.

It's getting closer to the start of my build :)

I prolly have $80 in misc tubing. From 3/32 up to about 1/4 in about every fractional increment. I have brass, alum.,copper and SS. (comes in handy) Once you start doing other builds and different things with water cooling it will come in handy. As soon as you send it back you will need it!

Yeah I guess you're right. I know I'll need it right when I return it, haha. I'll leave it lying around and hopefully one day it'll find some good use.

Use 5/32 tubing. this gives you .125 ID and is plenty for the 78.

Alright, I'll order two of each. I'll see the difference between the two. Thanks!

Jeff, have you found that the smaller size keeps the water out better? That's why I use the 1/8

Not really but I always use a seal at the motor end for any water issues. I use an antenna cap from a antenna tube and poke a hole thru it then CA it over the stuffing tube.

It also depends on the amount of bend in the tube...less bend and you can use the 1/8" okay.

Got some work done the other day. I mounted one drive and marked up where to install the water intakes. I think that's a good place for them. Also, I'm kinda nervous about drilling out those huge holes for the drives. (I only mounted the first drive with the 3 small screws.)

Looking good. I was nervous about drilling the big holes in my hull too. It looks like your water pickups are a little far out. I think you will want then as close to the tunnel as possible. I used a bright flashlight and shined it through the hull to see where the inside of the tunnel was and put them as close as I could to it.

Yeah I wasn't too sure about the water pickups. I think first I'll drill out the big hole and see where the stuffing tube will go through so I can get them as close to the center as possible.
