Your Drifter is sweet.I like the location of the steering servo.Mine is tucked under the top and epoxied in,unfortunatly.I think of replacement in the future if need be and I think Im screwed.Had FDM build it except for the motor and electronics.I see you have trim tabs on yours.Do they help?If so,where did you get them?Sorry for all the questions but Im new to this and want my Drifter to handle well and run good.Thank you for your help.

A friends MHZ Lizard extreme does 60 + mph the same power train running an ABC H-5

Might be a good prop to try

Do you ever have a problem with your Drifter turning right as soon as you take off?Mine does this no matter what motor I have in it.When its moving,it constantly pulls to the right.I have no idea how to remedy this.Any suggestions?

WOW.... I had forgotten all about that hull... Sold it a while back to someone here on OSE swap shop... I got the hull bare,, set everything up myself.. I was pleased with performance, but it was not the best hull for racing.. Great in a striaght line,, but in oval racing it could not cut the mustard..

The trim tabs were OSE tabs for a SV27.. I really liked them,, I could really change the ride in an instant with just small adjustments in the tabs..

Good luck with your new Drifter!

I ordered 2 GX200amp esc's to try out... They say 7S max or 30V... I am will try it on this 6S set-up!!

This KB45 motor pulls lots of amps.. The Neu 1527/1Y is only (1250KV) and has a max amp rating of 60amps... Just because it made by Neu, does not mean it will pull more amps than the KB.... The Neu 1527 will have more torque and will be more effiecient than the KB45 by far!! That will allow for less amp draw and less heat with the same prop and batteries.... But with just as much POWER or more than the KB..

I have seen this esc work fine in a 44" Aeromarine Cat w/ a Lehner 2280 on 2x10S1P lipos..... Runs 50's and has only fan cooling! These esc's will handle 100Amps cont. and 2-12lipo...

Until mine "puffs the majic smoke" I am going to keep running the S%*T out of it!!
That kb is doing fine get the new esc and stay with the kb no reason to spend all that extra money on the 1527 . Not only that you could just go with a 9xl kb and still be way cheaper.
