    OSE Brothers Outlaw

Ok, I got a new toy
and the reason I'm calling this the "OSE Brothers Outlaw" is because so many members on this site have helped me in some way or another, through great advice or great deals in the Swap Shop, and sometimes both
this is all stock for now...

I think the hull is a DF39 copy?
the stock motor is a 36/15 outrunner, maybe only about 500watts?
great motor for a smaller hull but not this big
it does have a sweet cooler on the front of the motor that's built into it

            Well right now I'm thinking either a CC1520 or CC1717 on 5s and 6s

and the hull I don't think will need much

I'm using a 1717 (1580kv) in my lightning street brushless conversion (1/7 scale on road). Its a big heavy car but the 1717 punishes it. Tons of torque and it doesnt get hot, at all. It will do 65mph at half throttle and still spin the tires if you go full throttle at that point. I did a ton of testing with it today on 6s and after running for about 20 minutes it wasnt even warm, let alone hot. I've yet to see how well it holds up over time, but I am impressed with how cool it runs so far. The only negative I have to say about it is it doesnt do well at extremely low throttle. It cogs a little more than other motors if the start throttle is very light, and its a little difficult to get slow starts. Not anything that would affect the performance of a boat. Just noticable in a car.

You could consider a small change in the decals...

                            That's Killer!
the stock decals are under clear coat, but I would dig that on this hull somewhere
