IMO, if a motor is not loaded properly for the controllers dynamic timing range, (to much or to little load) it will run hot. With the Y537/3 prop, it is staying under 110F, using a OEMRC controller. Therefore it is loaded within the range the controller was designed.

Is this the way you guys understand it?

what was the speed on this setup?

Where is the cooler air coming from? Or is it circulating the same air?

This may be a silly question, but I'm just seeking clarity.

          Thanks.

It would be using the air in the hull. Also, it is better to pull the air than push it. So for my fan cooled the air is blowing away from the unit and drawing the cooler air into the unit.

                A thread heister! LOL, J/K

Bustitup, consider creating a thread for your build ideas, that way you can get lots of feedback and guidance from those that have experience with the product in question. I'm not implying that you don't, but merely saying that no one has experience with everything or every product. That's what the forum is all about

I see. Good call on pulling the air. I don't have much experience with air cooling, that is except for hovercrafts. But in that case, they have cooler air available to them and they aren't enclosed in a hull.

Taylor, it depends on motor, drivetrain, hardware, power, etc?

Woops, I just posted another silly question!

Edit: Taylor just apoligise on this site and all will be forgiven...up to you?

Air cooling does work, the efect of the air moving does help evan though it it is all the same air. We air cooled the Astro Flight motors with coumpter fans to keep the comps from exploding. When I was a Jewler we would blow on the stones to cool them and prevent damage. So Yes it will help to air cool!

Meniscus I like your comment on "no one has experience with everything or every product" How true!
